We start cleaning using a Piezo Electric Scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Veterinary Technicians polish the teeth to create a smooth tooth surface making it more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride application then strengthens the enamel and reduce tooth decay. Dental X-rays are taken, when indicated to assess the health of the teeth and jaw. Every pet is contiually monitored by a Veterinary Technician using an EKG, blood pressure measurement, body temperature monitor and pulse oximeter.
