Healthy Petz is offering an 6 week long puppy PreSchool session starting Tuesday August 6th, 2019 and Thursday August 15th, 2019 at 6:30pm.
School is open to puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old. Please contact us for pricing, prerequisites and curriculum!

Meet The Trainer
Katie Zavaro is an honor graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. She was a veterinary technician for 14 years. Katie has been training and showing dogs for the last 14 years. Her experience has allowed her to be an approved American Kennel Club evaluator for the (AKC) Canine Good Citizen.
Katie is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. As a member she has learned a variety of training methods which expand her behavioral and training experience. Katie has also had the opportunity to work with a variety of dog breeds and personalities by volunteering her training skills with rescue groups.
For the past 9 years she has been teaching a puppy preschool that she designed and started at her husband’s clinic, Healthy Petz. The puppy preschool incorporates AKC S.T.A.R. puppy program for which Katie is also an evaluator. See My Latest Training Images
Notes From the Trainer
My passion as a dog trainer is teaching people to properly train their dogs to be a welcomed part of the family. Behavioral problems are one of the main reasons dogs are surrendered to shelters. Proper training can save these types of dogs. Everyone likes a well trained dog, it's the only way to have a dog and truly enjoy them.
I became a dog enthusiast because I was given an adult dog that had many behavioral problems. I worked with several trainers to make her a wonderful companion that I could truly enjoy.
My show experience includes obedience and agility. My golden retriever "Kula" has earned the following titles from AKC and United Kennel Club (UKC): Master Agility Excellent (MX) Agility Excellent (AX) Excellent jumpers (AXJ) Companion Dog Excellent (CDX), Rally Excellent (RE), Novice Fast (NF) Canine Good Citizen (CGC). United Companion Dog(UCD), Agility 2 (AG2) Rally 1 (RO1). My French Bulldog "Soleil" has the following titles from AKC and United Kennel Club (UKC): Novice Agility (NA), Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Rally 1 (RO1)
