Meet Our Team

Dr. Coleen Dossey has been with Town & Country Veterinary Hospital since April 1995. She earned a B.S in Biochemistry, a M.S. in Animal Physiology and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree at the University of California at Davis. In addition to practicing traditional veterinary medicine, she has pursued advanced education in integrative medicine and is an I.V.A.S. Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.  Dr. Dossey earned certification by the Chi Institute in Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2014, and is excited to offer both holistic treatment options for your pet, as well as traditional veterinary medicine.  When she is not busy tending to the needs of her two dogs and three cats, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, watching her sons play lacrosse, gardening, quilting, and practicing yoga.

Dr. Lisa Mason has been with Town & Country since 2014.  Dr. Mason earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, and graduated with honors from Michigan State University Veterinary School.  Before relocating to the Tri-Valley area, Dr. Mason worked at a large  multi-doctor veterinary hospital in Southern California for 16 years.  Dr. Mason shares her home with Emma, a Thoroughbred, Spike, a Tennessee Walker, and Cassie (a.k.a. Cassidy Buttercup Dandelion), a rescued Golden Retriever mix.  In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, taking her children to and from their various sports and activities, and spending quality time with her husband, family and friends. 

Dr. Janelle Castillo has been with Town & Country Veterinary Hospital since 2020.  She was born and raised in the Bay Area and has always wanted to work in a profession that would challenge her and keep her thinking. Coupled with her love for animals, the veterinary profession seemed to be the perfect fit. In 2014 she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.  She is also a wife, a pet parent to Penny, a Pitbull mix, and Eleven, a Terrier mix, and a mother to two young children. On her days not spent practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys quality time with her family (four-legged and two-legged) and has recently developed a love for indoor plants. 

Cheree has been with Town & Country since 1998. Cheree graduated in 2007 with an A.A. in Administration of Justice.  She shares her home with her husband and their furry child Ronan, a red Doberman.  In her spare time she enjoys playing mahjong, gardening, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.

Stephanie has been keeping the pets of the Pleasanton Pet Hotel happy, healthy, and well cared for since 2007. In 2016, Stephanie attended the Dog Trainer course through Animal Behavior College. She is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross and was trained in Disaster Response and Animal Emergency with Noah’s Wish Organization. In 2020, Stephanie was cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant.  Stephanie shares her home with her dogs Blue, Milo, Hunter, Paco, and Foxy.  She also has an African Gray Parrot named Darby, Tweet the wild Sparrow, two cats named Shelby and Colt, and Rocky the Arabian horse.  When she's not caring for the precious pets of the Pleasanton Pet Hotel, she is spending time with friends and family, and enjoying horseback riding. 

Sabyl rejoined the Town & Country team in 2018, after a 13 year hiatus.  Sabyl has been in the veterinary field since 2000.  Sabyl shares her life with her husband, her son, and an animal or two.  These include two Cattle Dog mixes Tesla and Jane, a terrier named Polly, her Jack Russel Terrier mix Gordon, a one-eyed cat named Mao, her one-eyed horse Minnow, and two chickens called Kitt and Natalie.  In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, spending time with friends and family, and visiting her cabin in the woods.

Jessica joined the Town & Country team in 2014.  Jessica lives on a ranch so it's safe to say that she has way too many animals.  Jessica shares her life with her cats, Kolby and Ascher, her dogs Ace, Gunner, Tanner, and Molly. If she had spare time she would enjoy riding horses, racing cars, and spending time with her husband and friends.  But now life is centered around her new baby daughter, born in August. Congratulations!

Odessa (a.k.a) Odie, joined the Town & Country team in 2016.  Odie is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been in the veterinary field since 2012. Odie shares her home with her extremely enthusiastic German Shepherd named Sam.  In her spare time she enjoys the great outdoors, camping, working out and spending quality time with her husband and their two awesomely amazing high energy boys.

Tristyn is a Veterinary Assistant who began working with the Town & Country team in 2014 through the ROP program at  Granada High. Tristyn graduated with a B.S. in Zoology from Humboldt State University in 2018.  She is interested in pursuing a degree as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).  Tristyn shares her life with her Terrier mix named Tucker.  In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her boyfriend. 

Michael Ann joined the Town & Country team in 2015 as a Client Care Specialist.  In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, camping, and spending quality time with friends and family. Michael Ann shares her home with her boyfriend and their deaf, double dapple Dachshund named Quiet Riot. She enjoys curling up with a good book, coloring, and Karaoke.

Bridgette is a Client Care Specialist, and we were thrilled to have her join our Town & Country team in 2016.  She lives on a cattle ranch in Castro Valley with her husband, her two Dachshunds, two cats, five horses and one goat.  In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse, Lucy, taking photographs of the livestock on the ranch, and spending time with friends and family.

Brina is a Client Care Specialist, and joined the Town & Country team in 2020.  She lives on a ranch with her Donkey, Louise, and 5 goats, Finn, Albert, Sawyer, Betty, and Girtie.  Brina is always smiling, and she LOVES to make us laugh!  In her spare time she likes to be outside, whether it's biking,  skiing, snowboarding, or hiking.  

Hannah is a Client care Specialist, and joined the Town & Country team in 2020.  Hannah shares her home with her 16 year old Queensland Heeler, Jasmine, her 8 year old Cuban Havana, Coco, and her two children.  In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her children, and reading, writing, and crafts.  Hannah used to be a dancer, which is funny because she says she has a tendency to be incredibly clumsy.  ;)

Janelle is a Pet Hotel Technician who has been part of the Town & Country team since in 2017.  Janelle shares her home with her Border Terrier mix, Miya, and her Domestic Short Haired cat named Holly.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors.  Janelle can often be found taking boarding pets on walks down Del Valle Parkway, or inside the runs spending quality time with the Pleasanton Pet Hotel guests in her care.  

Sarah is the Pet Hotel Technician Lead, who began working with the Town & Country team in 2019.  Sarah lives with her boyfriend and her 20 lb. cat child named Benny.  Sarah loves anything Harry Potter.  In her spare times she enjoys bringing out her artistic side with drawing and painting.
