Kris Covert

She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary medicine in 2008, completing her clinical rotations at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she completed a Large Animal Ophthalmology internship at New Bolton Center prior to moving back to Maryland in order to complete a rotating – emergency, surgical and medicine internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. The last 7 years were spent working at a small animal practice in Maryland prior to joining the team here at Pikesville Animal Hospital.

She lives on a small farm, with her husband Joe, a tripod Jack Russell named Morley, a lab mix Ruben and three cats Foster, Jessie and Louie. In her spare time, she spends time with her rescue horse, Elliott. They enjoy trail rides, competing in eventing and being ambassadors for Days End Farm Horse Rescue (www.defhr.org), where she adopted Elliott in 2006.
