What is acupuncture?

It is a form of Chinese medicine where tiny needles are placed through the skin along certain points of the body. It is used to help improve function and promote natural healing by releasing neurochemicals and anti-inflammatory hormones into the bloodstream.

What is it used for?

Muscles and joint problems such as arthritis. Nervous system and Spinal problems, digestive tract problems, heart disorders, behavioral problems, reproduction, urinary tract problems, and many others.

Will the needles hurt my pet?

They may feel a small poke, but the needles are very small. Your pet may be nervous at first but they quickly relax. Some pets may even fall asleep. Most animals coming back know what to expect and are happy to be treated.

What can I expect?

If the problem is recent, one treatment should help. If the condition has been going on for awhile, it will require follow-up treatments. Remember that acupuncture stimulates the body's healing mechanism; sometimes it takes awhile for the body to start working properly again.

How do I make an appointment?
