How Therapy Laser Can Help Your Pet

Therapy laser is a cold laser that uses a special frequency red light laser to penetrate the tissue. Laser therapy uses electromagnetic energy interacting chemically and biologically with tissue to produce "photo-bio-stimulation." It is used in human and animal medicine, treating tissue in a non-invasive and drug-free way. The special laser helps the cell make energy, benefiting your pet in these ways:

  1.  Faster healing by increasing cellular energy
  2. Reduce pain by reducing neuronal impulses and stimulating the release of endorphins, which is the body's natural pain killer
  3. Reduce inflammation by decreasing the release of inflammatory chemicals, increasing cellular activity, and reducing edema through dilation of the lymphatic vessels and activation of the lymph drainage system
  4. Heal skin, muscle and nerves by increasing blood flow, releasing pro-healing cellular chemicals and stimulating collagen production.

We can use therapy laser for:

  1. Ear inflammation and disease (chronic or acute)
  2. Arthritis, Therapy laser is great for decreasing pain and inflammation with chronic degeneration
  3. Back pain (muscle strain and inter-vertebral disc disease)
  4. Anal gland inflammation and infection
  5. Lick granulomas
  6. Hot spots and other inflammatory skin conditions
  7. Gum disease, tooth root infection and dental issues
  8. Urinary bladder infections
  9. Post-operative swelling
  10. Nasal inflammation
  11. Ligament or muscle tears, sprains and pain
  12. Used to stimulate acupoints and is a wonderful addition to acupuncture treatment

Therapy laser can be safely used daily or weekly as needed. It can be used in conjunction with other medication. It takes just a few minutes to administer the laser to the inflamed site. Your pet may feel a gentle warming sensation that comforts as it heals,

If your pet is suffering from painful inflammation either chronic or acute, ask us about therapy laser and how it can benefit your pet.
