There are many uses for Therapeutic Laser in the Veterinary Hospital. One of our favorite uses is for traumatic injuries such as dog bites, snake bites, hit by car trauma, and falls from moving vehicles. This patient was attacked by two dogs and suffered severe trauma and bruising to all his limbs, tail, and head. He could hardly walk the next day and his back legs had edema for a week. He has been receiving daily therapeutic laser treatments as part of his recovery plan in addition to the hours of time the medical staff spent prepping/suturing wounds and placing drains. Laser Therapy helps to speed healing and decrease pain and inflammation. Middletown Animal Hospital offers this service as part of our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation including underwater treadmill, shock wave therapy, digital thermal imaging, stance analyzer, and laser therapy.
