We Provide Los Lunas Vet Care to Keep Pets Healthy and Active
Albuquerque and Los Lunas veterinarians Dr. William Heite and Dr. Donna Trent-Heite have over 50 combined years of experience providing veterinary care for animals. Together with our experienced veterinary team, our veterinarians are proud to provide your animals with affordable high quality care.
As soon as you enter our animal clinic, you'll experience the difference that our compassionate care makes. We have a calm, friendly and inviting environment, so both you and your pets will feel comfortable and relaxed during a visit.
We have an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and an online pharmacy for your convenience. If your pet needs advanced care, we provide specialist referral.
Preventive wellness care is the foundation of our pet care program. We treat your pets with love and compassion, and through annual wellness exams, we strive to keep your pets healthy and active for life. If you have a new kitten or puppy in the family, we encourage you to bring your pet into our animal clinic so we can begin the puppy and kitten vaccine series. The immune system of puppies, kittens and foals is continually developing, so your pet's vet will administer these vaccinations every few weeks so your pet is fully protected against common diseases, including rabies.
We recommend annual examinations for all pets, and a semi-annual exam for senior pets. During an exam, your pet's vet performs a complete physical, recommends appropriate diagnostic lab work, including a fecal parasite exam. These tests allow us to catch the early warning signs of an illness. Just like in humans, the earlier we are able to detect a health condition such as parasites, cancer or thyroid disease, the more treatment options we have available. We strive to keep your pets healthy and proactively work with pet owners to manage potential health concerns. Our team is also happy to talk about common dietary and behavior issues and make appropriate recommendations.
From your pet's first steps to senior care, our vet team is committed to keeping your pet active, happy and healthy for life. Visit South Valley Animal Clinic today and experience the difference that our care can make for your pet!
