Effective March 20th, 2020 Sunshine Animal Hospital will be implementing Curbside Care. This decision was made per the recommendations of the American Veterinary Medical Association in order to help us maintain social distancing while also continuing to care for our patients. It is very important that we do everything we can to help keep our clients as well as our staff safe and healthy.
The procedure for Curbside Care is outlined below:
When you arrive at our hospital please park as close to our building as you can (ideally right in front of the practice) and then call us to let us know you have arrived.
Dr. Kreutzer will call on your cell phone to discuss any concerns you may have with your pet at that time and to get pertinent information on your pet, as well as discuss the treatment plan for the day. If your pet is sick then another follow up call may be necessary to discuss the results of your pet’s exam and to discuss diagnostics and treatment.
After the history questions and concerns have been discussed, one of our nurses will come to your vehicle to get your pet from you in order to bring them inside for their exam and treatment. Please have cats in a secure carrier and have dogs wearing a securely fitted collar. A non-slip leash will also be placed on your dog as a back up in case they try to slip out of their collar. During this brief interaction time, we will practice social distancing as much as possible and request the same from you.
Following treatment your pet will be brought back to you and we will ask that you call in with a credit card number to pay for your visit or you may pay in cash or check.
If you need medication refills please call us to notify of us of which medications your pet needs and we will get them ready. We will have you pay for the refills at the time you request them via the methods mentioned above or at the time your arrive to pick your medications up. The medications will then be brought out to your car.
