We thank our staff for their continued years of service and  dedication to the patients.  Also, we thank Dr. Matt Taylor for his assistance to allow us to remain open these last four months.  We'd like to thank our wonderful clients for the many years of allowing us to serve you and your continued support during this difficult time following the passing of Dr. Tim Baker. 

Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, small- animal veterinary practice in Hillsdale, MI. The facility has been the location of a veterinary practice for many years. Dr. Tim Baker DVM assumed sole ownership of the practice in 2003.

At Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to provide patients with the finest veterinary attention possible. We treat all animals with respect for their unique personalities, and compassion for their needs. We are also sensitive to the special relationship that exists between a pet and its owner. So, along with delivering comprehensive health care to your animal, we strive to provide you, our client, with first-class customer service.

  • Dr. Tim Baker, DVM

    Dr. Tim Baker grew up on a farm in Berkey, Ohio where his family raised livestock. As a result, he developed a keen interest in large animals, and determined to have a career in livestock work. After completing his education at Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, Dr. Baker joined a general veterinary practice in Ottawa, OH. There, through involvement with both small and large animal patients, Dr. Baker watched his veterinary interests expand to include companion animals.

  • Nicole Angel, Veterinary Assistant

    An animal lover, Nicole can say there isn't an animal she doesn't like, as they all interest her. Yet large animals are her favorite. She fell in love with cows while helping on a neighbors farm when she was a young teen. Nicole's love of animals has guided her education choices. She is attending Baker College studying vet technology and hopes to stay in Hillsdale or Branch counties after graduating. In the meantime, Nicole is the veterinary assistant here and may be seen assisting in other areas of the hospital as needed.

  • Christina Murillo, Receptionist

    Christina’s love for animals started when she was young. She had birds and fish. Christina grew up in New York City and moved around with her family. Other states she has lived in include Pennsylvania, Ohio, and now Michigan. Christina has three children named Brian, Sylvia, and Brandon. They have a Corgi named Maggie, who is very playful. In her spare time, Christina likes to read, cook, and play her guitar.
    Previously, Christina studied at Hocking College and became a certified medical assistant with a certification in CPR, First Aid, and phlebotomy. Here in Michigan she has become a student again working towards becoming a registered nurse. You can see Christina at the front desk here where she provides support for appointments and surgeries. In addition to answering the phone, Christina has some behind the scenes duties to help office function.

  • Danyelle Fryman, Veterinary Assistant

    Danyelle grew up on a small farm in Petersburg, Michigan. For as long as she can remember, she has had a love of animals. She loves all kinds of animals, especially exotics. Danyelle is owned by a German Shepherd, Jerry Lee, and an Aussie-Chihuahua mix named Skylar. Also, four rescue cats share her home; Sunny, Zeek, Cancer, and Jackson. Danylle enjoys spending time with her family during spare time. 


    Currently, Danyelle is attending Penn Foster studying veterinary technology. She wears a number of hats here as an assistant to the doctor for appointments and surgery. Danyelle also helps at the front desk a couple of times each week. 

  • Tom Allbright, Kennel Assistant

    Tom keeps the kennels and the treatment/surgery area clean and ready. He really enjoys taking care of animals that stay after hours during the week and has been known to give boarders some extra love and attention. Tom also takes care of odd jobs and some maintenance duties around the hospital and is a valuable contribution, as he is always willing to help out as needed.

  • Sharon Hammill, Kennel Assistant

    Behind the scenes, Sharon provides essential help after office hours, which is an important part of care for Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital. Sharon cares for boarders after hours, including weekends and holidays. She never misses a beat walking the dogs outside and ensuring their food and water is taken care of and cat litter boxes are clean. This care can also involve cleaning bedding and making the experience better for the pets.
