Services

Wellness Exams: A wellness exam is an overall general health assessment that may include blood tests, urinalysis, and parasite screening. Our Wellness exams are recommended for most pets annually. Puppies and kittens may require a couple wellness exams to monitor their growth and health while we get their recommended vaccinations complete. 

Sick Exam: From coughing dogs, lacerations,red ears, diarrhea, to gastritis we are here to help your pet feel better as soon as possible. Whatever your concern please give a call and we will be happy to help. Our staff is devoted to getting your pet on their way to feeling better as soon as possible.

In Hospital and Send out Lab testing: For immediate and accurate blood diagnostics we have in house lab that can run basic lab work on  your pets. We also work with many outside labs that meet your pets needs to diagnose illnesses and formulate the best plan possible to treat their illness. 

Ultrasound Imaging: Ultrasound is a form of imaging that allows us to look inside your pet's body without surgery. It is a completely noninvasive technique to help us diagnosis and explore why your pet may not be feeling well. We also ultrasound to confirm pregnancy and see how the babies are doing. 

X-rays: From broken bones, looking for cancer,  trying to see what your pet might have ate, to counting how many puppies your bred pet is to expect,  we have x-ray available for your pets at all times. We also provide OFA/ Penn hip certifications (see links below for more information):

Pharmacy:  We Strive to provide you with the best prices and efficient dispensing of your pets medications. We are able to dispense medications here at VVH and have the option for you to buy from a trusted online store through our partner company Vets First Choice.

Dental Cleaning: While under anesthesia, a veterinary cleaning will include a thorough dental cleaning, exam, and possible dental x-rays, without any pain or discomfort to your pet. 

Reproductive Care: We offer Pre-breeding and post-breeding exams. Some of the pre-breeding services we offer are burcellosis testing, progesterone testing, semen collection & evaluation, and artificial insemination. Post-breeding we are able we offer  ultrasounds, x-ray, emergency pregnancy care if whelping complications arise, and c-sections. For purebred dogs that require tail docking and dewclaw removal we preform these procedures as well. *we no longer offer ear cropping for any breed*

Acupuncture: Our certified acupuncturist, is able preform acupuncture which involves inserting small needles into specific points in the body to stimulate healing. This homeopathic medicine can help alleviate symptoms for many of your pet's ailing issues. This procedure can reduce or eliminate the need for medications. 

Rehabilitation: Physical therapy for canines adapts human physical therapy techniques to increase function and mobility of joints and muscles. Our Certified Canine Rehabilitation Technicians and Doctor will asses and create a specialized plan that best meets your pet's needs. Laser Therapy: We offer Cold Laser Therapy which is a procedure that uses light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. We use Laser Therapy to treat acute issues like sprains, strains, ear infections, and wound healing. Underwater Treadmill:  We offer aquatic therapy to help your pet rehabilitate from an injury or chronic issue. In addition we are able to use it as a tool to condition to help your active pet maintain their muscle or work off those extra pounds during the cold seasons when proper exercise is  not always an option. Aqua therapy allows us to offer low impact high resistance work out.
