Meet the dedicated team at The Spay & Neuter Center of Southern Nevada

Dr. Maria Lucille Yalung, DVM, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At a young age, she demonstrated a deep love for the outdoors and animals, and was encouraged to become a veterinarian. Maria was very academically inclined in her youth, citing history, literature, and science as her favorite subjects. She participated in various activities but especially enjoyed sports such as tennis, swimming, and running cross country. She received her undergraduate education at Tuskegee University in Animal Sciences and went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinarian Medicine, graduating with honors. She currently works for Purdue University (Boiler UP!) Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a small animal rotating intern. She has 3 pets: 2 dogs, AshLynn (pictured) & Bullet; and 1 cat, named Ghost. Maria loves to cook & eat; her favorite meal is her Grandmother’s Beef Roast recipe. She also loves to read; her favorite books are the Bible and My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George.

Dr. Taylor Thompson, DVM, is from Wyoming and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She went into equine medicine right out of school and did an internship at Desert Pines Equine. She stayed there after her internship ended until she met her now Husband and moved to South Dakota for his work. Dr. Thompson worked as a mixed animal practitioner for 2 years while in South Dakota. Then in 2023 they moved back to Las Vegas and had their first child.
Dr. Thompson enjoys hanging out with her family and 2 dogs, hiking, and going to movies.
She is very excited to be a part of a team bringing affordable preventative medicine to the Las Vegas Valley.

Dr. Jen La Vigne is originally from Chicago. She studied biology,
chemistry, and dance at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana and
attended veterinary school at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana,
where she also studied public health. She moved back to Chicago after
obtaining her DVM and then relocated to Las Vegas in 2020 with her husband.
She worked as an emergency and general practice veterinarian for twelve
years before joining Spay and Neuter Center in 2025. Throughout her time in
the veterinary field she has understood the need for affordable
preventative veterinary care, so she is excited to be able to offer these
services to the Las Vegas community. Outside of work she enjoys running,
hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and traveling. At home, she has a turtle
and two Miniature American Shepherd mixes.
Dr. Sarah Moskop was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. She received
her doctorate of veterinary medicine at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. Having a special interest in critical care and surgery,
she has spent the last 8 years as an emergency veterinarian both in
Illinois and Nevada.
She enjoys exploring new things to do around Las Vegas, watching tv,
crafting (especially crochet), and is a huge WWE fan!
Dr. Moskop shares her home with a doberman pinscher named Heidi, a special
needs terrier mix named Jake; 5 cats, a cockatiel named Cheeto, a russian
tortoise, and an 150-lb sulcata named Gus.

Tara C.HR Management/Rescue Coordinator/ Licensed Veterinary Technician
I have been a proud member of The Spay & Neuter Center family since 2009, serving as the HR Manager, Rescue Coordinator, and Head Licensed Veterinary Technician. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside the clinic while helping support both our team and the thousands of animals we care for.
I care deeply about our mission and vision, and I truly believe in the work Dr. Griffiths is doing to provide accessible, high-quality care to our community. My passion for animal welfare drives everything I do—from working closely with rescue partners to ensuring every patient receives compassionate, attentive care.
Outside the clinic, I am an avid scuba diver, a dedicated animal rescuer, and a nature lover. My connection to animals extends beyond the clinic, and I am grateful to be part of a team that shares that same commitment every day.

I've been proudly part of the team since 2013, and it has truly been an incredible journey. When Dr. Griffith took ownership of the practice, I didn't hesitate to follow her. I have so much respect for her leadership, vision, and heart for both animals and people.
I deeply believe in our mission to promote spaying and neutering for all dogs and cats. It's meaningful work that makes a real difference every single day, and I'm grateful to be a part of something so impactful.
Over the years, this place has become more than just a job; it's a second home. I can honestly say they'll probably have to drag me out of here when it's time for me to retire, and who knows when that will be, maybe when I can no longer walk!

The dynamic quadruplets! Our hospital guardians. We are good at making sure the staff is doing their jobs correctly, causing chaos, and eating Churu's! We are definitely spoiled but well deserved!

I was born and raised in Atlanta and moved to Las Vegas in 2018. I have 3 fur babies at home, a German shepherd mix named Toby, and Leela and Leo, who are both tabby cats. I enjoy working around animals, and it's so fun seeing all the pets that come in for a visit. I like to paint, draw and hike in my free time.

Former accounting/payroll manager who retired in 2021, only to return to the work force in 2023.
I was born in Vermont, but then migrated to Las Vegas to enjoy the warm weather. I have two children, three grandchildren, two horses, and multiple dogs who keep me company.
I was lucky enough to come work at Spay and Neuter Center, making surgical appointments and helping curb the pet population. I also get to love on other people's pets daily!
