Central Dakota Animal Clinic is proud to serve the Platte, SD area for everything livestock/livestock market, equine, and pet related.

Our mission at Central Dakota Animal Clinic is to always practice high quality service to our clients and excellent care to their animals.  As well as raise people's level of awareness and approach to achieving and maintaining good health for their animals.  We encourage a sincere courteous attitude toward all treatments, clients and fellow team members and communities.

With Dr. Jay Alberda leading a team of committed and experienced staff, your animals will receive the highest quality care.

STATE OF THE ART FACILITY

Our clinic, new in 2015, includes an equine barn, kennel, calf hospital, and lab.

Meet the Veterinarians

  • Dr.
    Jay C. Alberda

    Graduated from Montana State University, Bozeman and Colorado State University, and College of Veterinary Medicine. 

    Has practiced in Montana & South Dakota for over 25 years. 

    Grew up on a farm outside of Bozeman, MT and enjoys reading, bird-watching, cooking, and doing his daily crossword puzzles.

  • Dr. Nathan R. Goodwin
    DVM

    Graduated from University of Kansas, Washington State University Veterinary School in conjunction with Utah State.Dr. 

    Nate enjoys mixed animal practice and the clients at CDAC.

    He is a Kansas native, loves the outdoors and sports. He has two German shorthairs, Waylon and Nelson.
