    Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital is a full service animal hospital founded in 1974 by Dr. Herbert McCollum. We accept both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. We utilize state of the art medical equipment including Digital General Radiology, Digital Dental Radiology, Radiosurgery, Ophthalmic tonometry, Endoscopy and Ultrasound.

    We have the ability to have CT scans on our exotic patients and Dr. Kopp has special training in advanced surgical procedures in rabbits.

  • Dr. Van Pennington, DVM

    Ever since Dr. Pennington could remember he wanted to become a Veterinarian. His compassion for healing and helping animals made him realize at the age of 14 that this is what he wanted to do. He was hired on and worked hard in this same clinic in clean-up for 5 years just to learn anything he could before he entered college.

    A Nashville native, Dr. Kopp received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Lipscomb University and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville (UTK).

    Dr. Jessica Larson
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Larson is our MOVES veterinary internal medicine partner in the Nashville region. She is available to perform consultations and advanced internal medicine procedures at Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Jessica Larson graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine with honors. She then completed a general rotating small animal internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, MI, after which she was accepted into a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Larson is Board Certified through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She has extensive experience in many facets of veterinary medicine including private clinical practice, the veterinary industry and at-home euthanasia. Her main interests include enhancing client relationships and engagement, being a valuable partner on the journey of each pet’s illness and being both the teacher and the student in most situations. She also loves geriatric cats! In her spare time she enjoys doing outdoor activities with her husband and two kids and shares her home with two cats.
