Allergies can make our furry friends uncomfortable. If your pet has any symptoms of allergies, we can help! Pets can’t tell us what is wrong, so we recommend allergy testing. With a simple blood test, we can determine what is making your fur-baby miserable.

• Inhalant Allergies. Inhalant allergies are often seasonal allergens that are inhaled or come into contact with your pet’s skin.                                                                              
•  Flea Allergy Dermatitis. Flea allergy dermatitis is caused by the saliva of fleas.  
• Food Allergies. Food allergies are an immune system response triggered by certain ingredients in your pet’s food.
• Contact Allergies. While less common, pets can have allergies to carpet fibers, plastics, and pesticides.
• Bites. Pets can be allergic to many types of bites from bees to snakes. When facial swelling or breathing issues appear you have a true emergency on your hands!
• Drugs and Chemicals. Read the label on all medications to learn what allergic reactions to watch for. In most cases, allergic reactions occur 20 minutes after administering. Any medication or ingested chemical reaction is considered an emergency!
