Annual Exams and Health Checks

In-House Laboratory

Our In-House Laboratory gives rapid results for blood work, urine analysis, and cytology. This helps you to make more informed decisions about your pet's treatments and healthcare needs.


Surgical Laser

Laser surgery is available for a wide variety of surgical procedures at the Gananoque Veterinary Clinic. The most obvious benefits of laser surgery are: Less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. Laser technology reduces the trauma and bleeding involved with your pets surgery, this therefore improves recovery and often shortens hospital stays. Therapeutic Laser Therapy

Gananoque Veterinary Clinic is pleased to announce that we are now offering therapeutic laser therapy. A noninvasive procedure that uses light to stimulate cells and increase blood circulation. At the correct laser wavelength, pain signals are reduced and nerve sensitivity decreases. The procedure also releases endorphins, or natural painkillers. Digital Radiology

We offer full-service digital radiology in our hospital for quick diagnostic assessments of your pet.


Boarding

For your convenience we offer boarding at our Gananoque clinic. Whether it's just overnight or for a few days we will try and keep your pet comfortable and happy while you are away. .


Have An Emergency?

In case of an Emergency after hours our clients are referred to the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital located on 1381 Midland Avenue in Kingston. This is a specialty Emergency Animal Hospital with emergency trained staff ready to help you and your pet. Their number is (613) 634-5370.


ECG

Our Electrocardiogram provides information about the heart's function and allows us to more closely monitor and to better tailor treatments for heart disease


Nutritional Consults

Feeding your pet properly can extend its life by up to two years! Nutrition is VERY important to your pet’s health. Eating right keeps them healthy inside and out. We offer advice on feeding your pet so he or she will be with you for a long, happy life.


Exotics 

With a desire to help all creatures great and small we are also focusing on exotics. Our doctors and staff have a great knowledge base and experience to help you take care of your super small furry, feathered and scaled family members. 


Behaviour Consults

Sometimes unwanted behaviours are hard to handle. We can schedule 1 hour appointments with you and your pet. We will go through many different senarios and options for whats troubling your pet family member. We use positive rewards, and desensitization. We believe there is always something we can do to make you and your pet live more happily together


Ultrasound

The Gananoque Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer an onsite ultrasound machine which greatly improves our ability to image internal organs and rule out or diagnose many disease processes.


 


Orthopedic Surgery

Dr. Barb O’Neill has a special interest in repairing torn ligaments, broken bones, and injured joints through surgery. Her latest accomplishement is repairing torn ACLs (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) through an improved procedure called TPLO Surgery. This "cutting edge" technique allows dogs to return to normal activity sooner with less chance of joint disease later.
