Meet Our Vet Team
Our very own Dr. Dean Michael Wilson is our owner and primary veterinarian here at Companion Vet Clinic. He opened this facility back in 1994, after having graduated from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Today, he specializes in internal medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery.
What to Expect From Your First Visit
When you first bring your pet in for a visit with us, we will generally recommend that you come in for a wellness exam. These provide our veterinary team with an excellent opportunity to gather important information regarding your pet's health, as well as to review any past medical and vaccination records. Before your first visit with us, we also recommend that you take the time to fill out our new patient paperwork, which will save you time in our waiting room when you first arrive. If you have any past records of your pet's medical history, please bring them with you to your first visit. If not, that's okay.
When we first meet you and your pet, we'll take some time to review your pet's medical history as well as ask you some important questions related to your pet's health. From there, we can conduct a comprehensive exam and make any recommendations for further diagnostic testing or nutritional/lifestyle changes.

We do see patients in order of emergencies, appointments and then walk-ins. Walk-in wait times can vary widely depending on emergencies, scheduled appointments and other walk-ins. If you are not able to wait, please let our receptionist know and they will schedule you an appointment at a more convenient time. We also offer a drop off service if you do not need to talk directly with the veterinarian.
