  • Deanna Hill
    LVT
    Lead Veterinary Technician, Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Deanna Hill joined the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team in 2006 and is the lead veterinary technician. She graduated from Penn Foster in March of 2016. She plans on pursing a Veterinary Technician Specialty in Dentistry. It is Deanna’s passion for creating long lasting relationships and helping clients and their pets that has inspired her to work in the veterinary field. Deanna is experienced with all animals, from the exotic to companion animals; she brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team. When Deanna is not at work, she enjoys cuddling with her fur babies, Willow the Pitbull, and Oscar her guinea pig.

  • Leah Berry
    Senior Veterinary Assistant

    Leah Berry joined the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team in October of 2013 and is one of the veterinary assistants on staff. She studied at the PIMA Medical Institute. It is Leah’s passion for animals, working alongside the veterinarians and the relationships she has with clients and their pets that has inspired her to work in the veterinary field. Leah has 4 pets of her own two dogs, McLovin a Sheltie and Roxy a Pit Bull, as well as 2 cats, Loca and Gears.

  • Amber Baker
    Veterinary Assistant / Customer Service Representative

    Amber has been on staff at Portsmouth Animal Hospital since September of 2016. She is currently wearing multiple hats and working both as a veterinary assistant and as a customer service representative. She loves her critters, but has a special place in her heart for all of the exotic beasties that make us their primary care provider.

  • Andrew Adams
    Veterinary Assistant

    Andrew has been with Portsmouth Animal Hospital since December of 2016. He is one of the veterinary assistants on staff here. Andrew recently finished his training for veterinary assisting at TCC, and is looking forward to getting started on gaining his licensed veterinary technician degree. His love of animals brought him to this field, and keeps him motivated to move forward with his knowledge.

  • Quasia Gallashaw
    Veterinary Assistant

    Quasia has been with Portsmouth Animal Hospital since January of 2018. She recently moved back to the Chesapeake area after graduating from VCU with her Bachelors of Science in Biology. Quasia is pursuing her education to obtain her Veterinary Technician degree so she can continue her passion in veterinary medicine. When she isn't nursing our fur babies back to health she can be found outdoors playing with her dog Quojo.

  • Tammy Bures
    Customer Service Representative

    Tammy Bures has been with the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team since 1998 and is one of the receptionists on staff. Tammy has owned dogs her entire life and loves getting to greet all the clients and their pets. She has two dogs at home, Bungee and Chase, both Golden Retrievers. Tammy’s passion for meeting new people and their pets has inspired her to work in the veterinary field.

  • Brittany Owen
    Customer Service Representative

    Brittany has been with the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team since 2007. She is one of the receptionists on staff. Brittany loves cats and has four of her own at home, Kiki, Cutie, Jasper and Hazel. She loves getting to work with animals and people. When she isn’t at work Brittany is busy with her two children reading books, playing music, creating art and picking out this year’s Halloween costume!

  • Kathy March
    Customer Care Representative

    Kathy has been with the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team since 2011. She is one of our customer care representatives on staff. Kathy began her career in 1979 as a kennel attendant and worked her way up to customer service representative and assistant. Kathy’s passion for her work shows in her 36 years of experience in the veterinary field. Kathy has a miniature poodle named Jimmy whom she adopted from Scottsdale.

  • Jessica Beatty
    Pet Groomer/ Animal Care Attendant

    Jessica Beatty joined the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team in November of 2017. She has over 20 years of experience working with and grooming fur babies. Jessica spent her childhood on a small farm in California where she fell in love with animals of all shapes and sizes. She then moved to the MidWest where she owned her own mobile grooming service and is now ready to plant some roots in Portsmouth. When Jessica isn't grooming, she enjoys playing fetch with her three rescue dogs, Angie, Ruger, and Sadie at the beach.

  • Taylor Hart
    Animal Care Attendant

    Taylor Hart has been with the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team since January 2016 and is one of the kennel attendants on staff. Taylor has two Chihuahuas at home named Lisa and Rocky. She is currently studying at TCC for an Associate in Science. Taylor loves taking care of and interacting with all the animals at Portsmouth Animal Hospital Luxury Boarding. It is her compassion, love and passion for helping animals that has led to her work in the veterinary field.

  • Morgan Myers
    Animal Care Attendant

    Morgan Myers has been with the Portsmouth Animal Hospital team since January of 2018 and is one of the kennel attendants on staff. Morgan has a Golden Retriever named Murphy. She has her Associates Degree in General Studies and she is currently studying at Tidewater Community College to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Morgan loves caring for the animals in Portsmouth Animal Hospital Luxury Boarding and her main goal is to be a voice for the voiceless.
