Boarding

Lyon Veterinary Hospital Boarding Policies

REQUIRED VACCINES For the protection of your pets and all our patients, we require core vaccinations while boarding.

Dogs

  • Bordetella
  • Rabies
  • Distemper/parvo

Cats

  • Rabies
  • Feline Upper reiratory complex (RCCP)

ALL pets should also be current on species appropriate flea and tick prevention.

If your pet is not current on vaccinations, we offer the convenience of updating those when you drop off at an additional cost. Please let us know when scheduling your pets’ boarding if you would like us to booster those the day you drop off, or if we can obtain previous vaccination history to update their file.

WHAT TO BRING For your convenience, we supply all beds, blankets, and food/water bowls during boarding. To maintain their routine, we encourage you to bring is your pets’ food and any medication we need to administer while they’re staying with us. If you would rather we supply the food, we feed Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal, which is low in fat and easy to digest, at no additional cost. If your pet requires special food (food allergies, urinary problems, diabetic, etc), please bring that with you.

EXOTICS While we do offer exotic pet boarding, we recommend finding a pet sitter, as often these pets are more comfortable at home. We are not on premises 24 hours a day to provide the extensive care they require. Remaining at home will ensure that these pets are not exposed to the strange sights, sounds, and smells in a vet clinic. However, if you need us, we are happy to accommodate most species as long as all appropriate habitat, supplies, and food are brought with them at boarding.

BOARDING FORM To expedite the process, you can find our boarding form here: https://tinyurl.com/lvhboarding. Please fill this form out completely prior to drop off. We will also happily email a form upon request. As an added convenience, you can return the form via email or fax (479-361-5660) and we will keep it on file until your boarding reservation.

Thank you again to all our wonderful clients and their pets. We love being part of your family and we appreciate your confidence in us.

If you have any questions or concerns, or need to book your pets’ boarding, please give us a call at 479-361-4650.
