  • Dr.
    Potter - Adopted 2014

    Dr. Potter is a native of East Tennessee, where he attended East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organic Chemistry.  Upon graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Field Artillery Corps through ROTC.  After 12 years of service and achieving the rank of Major, Dr. Potter left active duty service and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology.  He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  For the past 15 years Dr. Potter has held positions as Associate Veterinarian, Managing Veterinarian, and Relief Veterinarian in East Tennessee and in the Carolinas.  Dr. Potter lives in Dunn, NC with his wife Mona and their four dogs.  He has two adult children, a son Jesse and a daughter Nikki.  He enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, motorcycling, the beach, and spending time with his family and pets.

  • Dawn Parker-Adopted 1995

    Dawn was born and raised in Lumberton, NC. She graduated from Lumberton High School and attended Robeson Community College. She also worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years before she decided to work with animals. She has been working as a Veterinarian Assistant since August 1995. She has been trained to work all areas of our clinic. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and shopping. She lives in Lumberton with her husband Lane. Dawn has a daughter named Amber and a son named Clay.

  • Fred Howard-Adopted 2014

    My name is Frederick Howard, you can call me Fred. I’m from California, by way of Pennsylvania. I have been a Veterinarian Assistant since 2004, animals are my life’s work. I’m a veteran of 10 years in the U.S. Army. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats. I live on a farm, without the farm animals. I love the country and the country life.

  • Anne Davis - Adopted 2004

    One of the most familiar faces of our staff greets clients and their pets as soon as they walk through the door. Anne has been a valuable part of our clinic since 2004. She’s our “go-to” problem solver. With lots of her own dogs at home, she’s still able to squeeze in time for a good book.

  • Makenze Ivey - Adopted 2011

    Makenze started volunteering at North End Vet Clinic in June 2011 soon after became an employee in 2012. Helping in the kennel and treatment areas, she is a fast learner who is always eager for new opportunities. After a long day of school and work she heads straight home to care for her many animals. A horse enthusiast with 3 dogs and 2 cats its hard for her to say no to any animal in need.

  • Jessica Edwards - Adopted 2009

    With over 10 years of veterinary experience in large and small animal, emergency care, exotic/zoo and wildlife, Jessica Edwards is a valuable player on our team. She has been a vet assistant at North End since 2009 and is currently enrolled in RVT school. Managing inventory doesn’t leave her too much spare time, but when she finds some, Jessica enjoys painting, playing video games and bartending. Also spending time with her fiancé and their 4 fur babies, Nermal, George, Jasper and Ooige - all rescues!

  • Natalie Harper - Adopted 2015

    A North Carolina native, Natalie Harper joined the North End Veterinary Team in 2015. She works as the clinic's certified pet groomer, in a department she named 'Lucky Dog Day Spa'. You may have seen her face before. She managed the local Outback Steakhouse and Ruby Tuesday in between obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from UNCP and a Groomer's Certificate from The Raleigh Grooming Academy. She lives in East Lumberton with her husband, Chris; their Son, Luke; And of course, their dogs.

  • Justin Locklear - Adopted 2014

    Justin graduated from Red Springs High School in 2008. He started working at North End in 2009 as Kennel Staff. An left for a little while then came back to work in the Kennels in 2014. He also helps in the Treatment area and with Bathing. Justin in his spare time attends Pow Wows to show others his heritage with singing and dancing. He also enjoys working with the Youth in the Community of Pembroke, NC.

  • Amanda Stone-Stewart - Adopted 2015

    Amanda was born and raised in Fayetteville,NC. She is 23 years old and currently in school studying to apply to Veterinary School whilegetting her Veterinary Technician degree on the side. She has worked in the veterinary field for about 5 years and she loves her job. She has four cats Alexander, Julius, Zelda, and Dutchess.
