Understanding When It's Time to Say Goodbye

It can be difficult for pet owners to determine when it’s time to say goodbye to their beloved pets, especially if your pet has good days and bad days. If you are unsure as to whether it’s time to say goodbye, we can evaluate your pet’s health and answer your questions in order to help you make a decision.

• Your Pet Is in Chronic Pain that Cannot Be Alleviated With Medication
• Your Pet Has Stopped Eating and/or Lost Weight
• Your Pet Has Chronic Vomiting and Diarrhea that Cannot Be Controlled
• Your Pet’s Activity Levels Have Dropped
• Your Pet Can No Longer Stand or Walk on His or Her Own

In-Office Pet Euthanasia

Once you arrive in our office, you will have the option of choosing how involved you wish to be in your pet’s final moments.  If you wish to stay with your beloved dog or cat throughout their final moments, our team will escort you to a private room where you can say your goodbyes and hold your pet while he or she passes. Once your pet has passed, you will have the option to take your pet back home for burial, or he or she can be cremated and you can retrieve the ashes from us at a later date or have them spread over a garden at Heavenly Paws in St. Augusta.

Cremation Services

• Individual Cremation:  Your pet is cremated privately and you will receive your pets remains back in a Rainbow Bridge velvet bag along with a certificate of cremation.
• Garden Cremation:  You will not receive your pets remains back. Your pet's ashes are spread across a beautiful memorial garden at Heavenly Paws in St. Augusta, MN. This option allows you to rest easy with a peace of mind knowing your pet is located in a tranquil location devoted to them. The garden can be visited at any time.
