New Pets

We Welcome New Pets!

Charles Town Animal HospitalIf you have just become, or are planning to become new pet owners, congratulations! Here at Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Charles Town, we know that this is an exciting and adventurous time for everyone in the family. When you bring a new pet home, it is important to schedule an initial wellness checkup with Dr. Dibbern at our pet hospital as soon as possible. During your new pet’s first appointment, you can expect a hearty welcome into a calm, pet-friendly environment. Dr. Dibbern will examine your new pet gently, but thoroughly to make sure all necessary initial care is covered.  He will also discuss common behavioral issues and answer any questions you may have.

What Veterinary Care Does Your New Pet Need?

Everyone here at Countryside Veterinary Clinic has pets of their own—not to mention years of experience caring for every aspect of pet medicine—so if you ever need any advice on caring for your new pet, just call us. It is also important that you bring your new pet in for an initial veterinary checkup soon after you bring him or her home.

To help your pet’s first wellness checkup run smoothly, we have posted all of our necessary forms online so that you can print them off and fill them out conveniently at home before arriving at our animal hospital. This saves all of us precious time so that we can devote the majority of this very important visit to getting to know you and your new pet.

In order to minimize your costs, we also require payment at the time of your appointment. This saves us and you the money it costs to send out paper bills. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and American Express, as well as checks and cash. We do understand, however, that sometimes an unexpected illness or injury can go beyond your immediate budget. We also have a CareCredit program that enables you to pay for these emergencies in three monthly installments. You can apply here at the animal hospital, or online at CareCredit.com.  We are also happy to work with all pet insurance providers!

For that first appointment (and subsequent appointments), please bring in a list of all of your questions and concerns. We are ready to listen and answer. We will set up a pet vaccination schedule, schedule spay and neuter surgery if necessary and talk with you about nutrition, exercise, behavioral issues and any other questions or concerns you have.

We are eager to help you and your new pet get started on this wonderful journey with good health and happiness together. Call our pet hospital today at 304-885-0888 to schedule your new pet’s first appointment.
