Cat Visits: Please read this quick link on "Getting Your Cat to the Veterinarian" Reducing the Stress of Veterinary Visits for You and Your Cat.  Feel free to bring your cat's favorite treats and toy to make their visit as comfortable and fun as possible.  To make your cat's visit even better, please cover your cat's carrier with a towel during the entire travel time to and from the vet.  When you arrive, we will escort you directly into an exam room.  If an exam room is not available please wait with your cat in our "Cat Waiting Area" located adjacent to room 5.  When you are ready to check out, please leave your cat in its carrier in the exam room or on the bench in our "Cat Waiting Area".  You will then checkout with the receptionist, collect your cat, and exit our "Cat Exit".  Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Weighing your dog- We will get a weight on your dog at every visit. The most effective way to quickly get an accurate weight on your dog at their exam on our scale, is for you to use treats as positive reinforcement to get your dog on and stay on the scale.

AVSAB Position Statement on Positive Veterinary Care

Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up.  This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed.  Our veterinarians will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital for service.

Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet hospital.  It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts.  If you have something like this, share it with our team.  If not, let us know everything that you think will be important.  Our veterinary team can still work with whatever information you have.

In some circumstances, our veterinarians will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
