    Molly King DVM
    Medical Director and Emergency Veterinarian

    Dr. Molly King relocated to the Blue Ridge mountains after living in Florida near the beach her entire life. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate and veterinary medicine degrees, including a certificate in practice management. While there, she was lucky enough to spend a semester abroad in Ireland. Dr. King grew up wanting to work in publications, and she has bachelor's degrees in journalism and animal sciences.Dr. King spent several years doing general practice, but she became passionate about emergency medicine after doing relief work for an emergency hospital in Orlando. Some of her medical interests include surgery, infectious diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders, but she enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine including shelter medicine and dentistry.Outside of the hospital, Dr. King enjoys dog agility, horseback riding, traveling, cooking and fishing. She and her husband have three dogs: Scout, Colt and Hopper. 

  • Parrish
    Kelly Parrish DVM
    Emergency Veterinarian

    Dr. Parrish is passionate about client education, tail wags, and getting to the root of the problem. She completed her undergraduate and doctorate education at Auburn University (War Eagle!). During that time, she also led spay/neuter and wellness clinics in Nicaragua, studied surgery and anesthesia in Germany, and worked as a veterinary assistant at MEAC. She completed an emergency focused rotating internship in Phoenix, Arizona and has worked in several busy multi-specialty hospitals prior to moving to Blue Ridge to work at MEAC.   • Pamela Wendel DVM
    Emergency Veterinarian

    Dr. Wendel enjoys being able to help pets when they need it most. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 1992. Since then, she has been practicing emergency and general practice medicine in the metro Atlanta and North Georgia mountain regions. On her off hours, she enjoys cuddling her three dachshunds, photography, hiking, and mountain biking.

  • Tonya
    Tonya Jo Cravens
    Operations Manager

    Tonya has been with Mountain Emergency Animal Center since July 2010 and serves as the center's Operations Manager. She has been in the veterinary field since 1997. She earned her Associates Degree in both Animal Sciences and Livestock Production at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton Georgia. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys barrel racing, pole bending and creating unique leather works.

    Tonya shares her home with 3 Australian Cattle Dogs, Josie Mae, Demi Jo and Strauss, a Blue Tick Coon Hound named Drake, a domestic short hair cat named Flagg and 4 horses, Tonka Toy, Casino, Rosa and Side Draw.

    Caitlyn Thompson
    Veterinary Assistant

    Katie joined MEAC in the summer of 2018 as a customer service rep. She quickly developed technical skills and is now working in the treatment area with patients. She is currently pursuing her Degree in Veterinary Technology with Penn Foster. In her free time, she enjoys cosmetology, crocheting with her grandma and loving on her dog Boone.

    Customer Service Representative

    Tricia came to MEAC in October of 2020. Having an extensive background in customer service, she enjoys making clients feel at ease and cared for. She and her husband of almost 30 years have two grown children, 2 dogs and 4 cats. In their spare time they might be found traveling cross-country, enjoying the open road and RV camping.

    Erin Gwinn

    Erin grew up in Tallahassee, Fl where her love of animals began early in life. She was always bringing home stray animals to care for. In her spare time, she enjoys landscaping her yard, going to the lake and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Paloma and multiple rescue cats. 

  • Tammy D
    Tammy Donaldson

    Tammy Donaldson is a Veterinary Technician at Mountain Emergency Animal Clinic and was born and raised in Nürnberg, Germany where she started volunteering at a local animal clinic at the age of thirteen. 

    Inspired by her early passion to care for animals, she attended a 2 year vocational school for Veterinary Technology immediately after high school graduation. Though she has worked in the veterinary field- including emergency and practice management since, she pursued a secondary career path and earned a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy after graduating from Gwinnett College in 2017 to become a self employed Licensed Massage Therapist. 

    She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Associate Degree Program to continue growing and advancing in her career field of choice.

    In her spare time, Tammy enjoys the great outdoors, traveling, books, painting, music and loves spending time with her family & friends and her pet ferret Loki.
