Our staff includes veterinarians with decades of experience, as well as recent graduates educated in the newest techniques. All of our veterinarians work with you individually and as a team to provide comprehensive care. Our support staff of receptionists, certified veterinary technicians and assistants understand your concerns and provide a superior level of care for you and your pet.

Dr. Marty Heindel

*Retired December 1st, 2019*

     I have been blessed with almost 31 years of veterinary practice. The blessing is because of you, your pets, and the trust you bestowed upon me. It has truly been an honor and a privilege. I will miss you all! Trust me once again in knowing you are in great hands. The Appanasha team is my second family. Without them, I wouldn’t be here. They have guided, coached and mentored me. They will always be there for you, as they have for me.
    So, my next chapter begins. I will spend more time with my family at our cabin. My son has caught way too many fish without me! I will help a dear friend manage a 200 acre farm near Black River Falls. I will exercise more and eat less...Appanasha’s break room is always full of goodies! I will continue to be blessed.

The practice of veterinary medicine includes so many different aspects of diagnostic, surgical and medical care. I believe it is important to work with the owner when integrating all the information and possible treatments, and then provide the best practical plan that benefits the patient and the owner.

Dr. Murray Hurlburt

I enjoy being a part of the Appanasha team and sharing the tradition of complete client and patient care. I am excited about Appanasha's future. We will provide new procedures and technology while continuing to maintain close and valued relationships with people and pets.

Dr. Hurlburt lives with his wife Jeanne, their son Aidan.

Dr. Therese Fahner

I am truly thrilled to become a part of the comprehensive, compassionate veterinary services provided by the dedicated team of caregivers at Appanasha Pet Clinic. Animals enrich our lives in so many ways, and I feel fortunate to be able to help families keep their companions happy and healthy. The relationship we share with our pets (whether in the early stages, or after years of unconditional love) will always be at the heart of veterinary medicine, and keeping that relationship strong is my ultimate goal.

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Fahner spent the past few years providing care for pets in the Upper Peninsula. She is excited to join the Fox Cities community, and looks forward to serving the families and pets at APC.

Dr. Cathy Ohlsen

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be working with everyone at Appanasha Pet Clinic to bring the best care to clients and their pets. Veterinary medicine is challenging, ever changing and extremely rewarding.

It is an honor to share in the bond between a client and their pets and travel with them on their journey together. My goal is to keep pets healthy and happy and work with clients to tailor veterinary medicine, surgery and treatments to their needs.

Dr. Haley Jansen

I am very excited to be joining the compassionate and experienced team here at Appanasha Pet Clinic. Veterinary medicine fascinates me because it is an ever-changing field where there is absolutely always something new to learn. Thankfully there is always someone to happily give advice on particularly challenging cases. Everyone here works together in such an amazing way to provide the best possible care for every patient that walks in the door. When I am not spending time at the clinic I have a passion for movies, music, writing, and art.

Dr. Shauna Lindsley

I am so glad to have moved back home to Wisconsin. I once again get the opportunity to work at Appanasha Pet Clinic and couldn't be more excited! I am thrilled to continue my veterinary career and practice high quality medicine at such an innovative and progressive clinic. I look forward to working with you and your furry friends to develop an individualized plan that will help keep your pet healthy. I also hope to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible using fear free techniques.

Dr. Lindsley is originally from Clintonville, WI. After veterinary school, she completed a one year small animal surgery and medicine internship at the University of Illinois - Small Animal Teaching Hospital followed by a 7 year career at a small animal hospital in Indianapolis.

Dr. Lindsley lives with her husband, Chad, and her three dogs and two cats.

Dr. Tara Mendez

Hello! I am thrilled to join the team at Appanasha Pet Clinic and work in a practice that provides individualized and progressive care for its patients and clients. I look forward to meeting you and your pet to create a tailored plan that will keep your pet happy and healthy throughout all stages of life. I love being a veterinarian because it is a constantly changing field with the unique opportunity to treat animals while enhancing the human-animal bond. My particular areas of interest are veterinary dentistry and client education.

Originally from Menasha, WI, I am excited to return to my hometown and practice in the Fox Cities community. Outside of the clinic, I am passionate about movies, theatre, traveling, and a variety of sports (especially the Packers!).

Dr. Heidi Leder

I moved back to Wisconsin in May 2019 after practicing veterinary medicine in Greenville, North Carolina for 7 years and Lakewood, Colorado for 3.5 years.  I couldn’t be more excited to have found a position at Appanasha Pet Clinic.  I love being a part of a compassionate and hardworking team that strives to provide the best care for their patients.  This team is able to provide that care because they understand the importance of the bond between a pet and their owner.  They are family!  I look forward to helping you provide the care needed to keep you pet healthy and happy.

 I am originally from Bear Creek, Wisconsin.  I completed my undergraduate degree at UW – River Falls, and my veterinary degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.  In 2015, I became certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. 

 I live with my husband and our cat, Stan.

Dr. Patty Glover

Dr. Patty grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota where her love for animals was kindled. She completed her undergraduate studies at South Dakota State University and then attended the University of Minnesota, School of Veterinary Medicine. After becoming a Veterinarian, Dr. Patty’s passionate interest in integrative health care choices for her animal patients led her to further her education. She has completed extensive training in Animal Chiropractic at Options for Animals, College of Animal Chiropractic and in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with Dr. Shen Xie at the Chi Institute.
