Saddle Fitting
FSA is short for Force Sensitive Applications. It’s a clinical tool which allows users to evaluate pressures between a person and the support surface they are sitting, standing or laying on. Alpine Animal hospital utilizes this system to assess your horse’s saddle fit.
The system measures pressure between the horse and rider while determining the rider’s center of gravity. It utilizes a paper thin 30×36 inch pad of electrical sensors placed between the horse and saddle blanket which is connected to an ultra-small computer hard-drive fitted to the rider. The pressure information is downloaded to a laptop and the pressures are read and adjustments can be made.
