Pet Memorials

When my children first asked for a dog my response was that we would adopt a dog, a dog that no one else wanted. We adopted Sam from HALO, an animal shelter. His name was already Sam. We were happy with that and we didn't change it. Sam was a wonderful dog. He was so protective and we know he loved us as much as we loved him. Putting Sam to sleep was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I know in my heart that it was the right thing to do for him. I miss his face in the back door window.greeting me when I arrive home from work. I miss his bark and I even miss all the hair all over my house. Sam will live forever in our hearts until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

We lost Dodger in March 2012. We were blessed to have him for six and a half years, he was the best companion a person could have. We miss him every day!

In loving memory of Emma, (August 30, 2006 - March 1, 2012) aka Emma-toot, Toot-bear, Toot-toot, Dolly and Big Girl. Most of all Emma was my angel. She was an angel in every sense. She glowed from the inside out. Warm and gentle, she never met a stranger, human or animal. Many who met her suffered from love at first sight. We will miss her but keep her memory alive in our hearts. Heaven gained an angel last week and I have no doubt I'll see her again. RIP my sweet girl.

In Memory of Maggie

"Maggie was a precious and integral part of our family. She loved with everything she had and we loved her more than that. She was kind and gentle, loving and attentive, smart and beautiful, playful and loyal. She loved to play in the snow, chase butterflies in the yard, play in the sand and in the ocean waters at the beach. she loved to run and play ball, and she loved rides in the car to travel to somewhere new. She was a great big sister to Zoe and Bella. She was my protector and my guardian and she was my best friend. She will truly be missed and she will always be loved. I will see you again someday, my sweet Maggie girl. We miss you every day." .... 9/21/04 - 1/28/12 .... April McVay

Will you be there for me?

I remember the day when we first met,
the day you chose me as your pet.
You have fed and cleaned and cared for me.
I have been a better friend than any human could be.
You have given me rides in the car and walks in the grass,
New chew toys and puppy class.
You have shared your dinner and shared your bed.
You have given me baths and put bows on my head.
I have watched over our family and guarded our yard.
It was my pleasure so it was not very hard.
I have been making you smile for many years.
I have kissed your face and tasted your tears
Have you noticed lately how I have aged with grace?
I am getting clouds in my eyes and gray in my face.
It is harder to hear you and harder to see.
And sometimes I cannot make it outside to pee.
We both realized someday we would part.
But my memory can always stay young in your heart.
I have been the best friend I could possibly be,
so in the end will you be there for me?
If you need to decide when my passing is due,
Please be there for me as I was for you.
Stroke my ears and tell me how good I have been,
And how we will see each other some day again.
I know how sad this day will be,
But, thank you my friend,
For being there for me.
