It's Foxtail season! Have you checked your pets?

Foxtails are the seed pods belonging to a native species of grass that can be found throughout Placer and Nevada county. When your pet walks through grass these seed pods have a sharp tip that often gets lodged in between the toes, sinuses, ears, eyes, and into the coat of the animal.
