A successful candidate enjoys working with clients with as much as they enjoy animals, is technically proficient and is a motivated self-starter. Handling and restraining animals during examinations and surgeries, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic monitoring, radiology, cytology and laboratory procedures, sample collection and processing, nursing care, injections and surgical after care, hospital and kennel maintenance, and client education.

Veterinary Assistant
Seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Assistant at an established Veterinary practice in Virginia Beach, VA. Two (2) years or more experience in the veterinary field are required. Qualified Veterinary Education Participants may be considered. Hours may include some weekends and holidays.
Successful candidates will have a willingness to learn, strong technical skills, be reliable, and work well in a team environment. This is a physical job that requires proper animal handling skills and the lifting of animals, some over 50 pounds.
