Emergency Vet Services at Zionsville Animal Hospital

Our veterinary team is equipped and experienced at caring for your pet in an emergency. During regular office hours emergencies will be given immediate consideration. Please call our office right away at (317) 873-1833 if your pet is experiencing an emergency-- our emergency vet wants to be as prepared as possible for your arrival.

Your pet will receive the full attention and intensive care needed by their licensed veterinarians & staff. They will also forward any information about the care your pet received to us so we can follow up with you.

What do we consider a pet emergency?

  • ​Breathing difficulties
  • Bleeding that won’t stop
  • Bloating (hard/distended abdomen)
  • Difficult elimination
  • Uncontrolled vomiting
  • Poison/toxin ingestion
  • Trauma Hives & swelling (especially around the face/neck)
  • Burns/shocks
  • Sudden disorientation or unsteadiness
  • Prolonged seizures
