    Dr. Benjamin Fuller DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    After Dr. Benjamin Fuller attended the University of Guelph for his undergraduate degree, he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021. He is very passionate about animal welfare, geriatric patient care, and internal medicine, using the newest medical techniques and diagnostics to provide the longest and happiest life for his patients. 

    In his spare time, he likes to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, gardening, and skiing in the winter.

    'The best part of my day is hearing someone say ‘they’re like a new dog,’ or ‘they’re like a puppy again!’ I love being able to make a difference for these pets and their worried owners.'
  • Dr. Jennifer Portch, DVM
    Dr. Jennifer Portch DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Jennifer Portch graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996 and joined Richview in 2001. She puts all of her energy into every appointment she performs, taking the time to really listen to her clients before examining their pets. The word most often used to describe Dr. Portch is “thorough.” She takes great pride in the many long relationships she has built with the clients of Richview Animal Hospital over her many years here. 

    Dr. Portch owns two cats – brothers – named Sherman (for William Tecumseh Sherman) and Beauregard (for Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard) and two dogs – Blucher (for General Blucher) and Monty (for General Montgomery). In her spare time, she enjoys baking, gardening, and hiking with Blu and Monty.

    Dr. Kai Moore DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Kai Moore graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020 after attending the University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree. Her attention to detail and compassion for her patients provides owners with a sense of security when their pets are in her care. 

    At home, she has an adorable cat named Xander that she describes as, “The most handsome orange cat there ever was.” In her free time, she likes cycling, traveling to new places and trying out different cuisines with her friends.

    Dr. Mazna Almutawa DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Mazna Almutawa graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. She brings with her experience in working with all kinds of animals as she worked in Wildlife Conservation in both Chad and UAE. At home, she has an adorable and very friendly cat named Murphy who is 4 years old.

    Practice Manager

    Teresa graduated from the University of Toronto and earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. She grew up always having pets in her home and developed a deep love for them and animal care as a whole. Teresa uses her passion for animal care as her foundation when managing Richview Animal Hospital, always prioritizing the safety and well-being of the animals that come into the hospital. 

    At home, she has a small zoo of her own consisting of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish, and birds. She is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan, always trying to catch a game in her free time. When she has a moment to take a vacation, her favourite spot is Walt Disney World.

    Team Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

    Claudia graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College. She cares for each patient that comes into the clinic as if they were her own, showing them compassion and kindness to the highest degree. 

    She has 2 cats of her own named Theo, who loves to eat and fetch, and Glitch. Claudia loves to read, practice yoga, and watch Netflix!

    Anna graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2021. She has always had a love for animals, and being able to work closely with them every day has allowed her to explore her interests in animal welfare. 

    Anna’s pack at home includes her 3 dogs named Mochi, Milo, and Kuma. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter.

    Chantal graduated from Northern College’s Veterinary Technician Wildlife Rehabilitation Program, and with over 7 years working in the animal industry, she has brought her love of animals with her every step of the way. 

    She has a 9-year-old cat named Sorcha, who she found in a parking lot and later adopted. Chantal describes her as a “scaredy cat” that loves being brushed and has a preference for dogs over other cats. When Chantal is not at the clinic, she loves to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys playing video and board games.

    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Krystal graduated from University with a Bachelor of Science degree, with Honours, and then later went on to graduate from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician Program. Krystal has always had a great passion for animals, previously volunteering with the Etobicoke Humane Society, Toronto Wildlife Centre in Wildlife Rehab, and the Community Association for Riders with Disabilities. 

    Outside of the animal health industry, Krystal enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen, learning new languages, and falling asleep with a good book in hand. Currently, she does not own any animals herself, but she previously had 2 rats named Miso and Nori!

    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Laura graduated from Seneca College in the spring of 2021 and has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since August of that same year. She has been involved in veterinary medicine and the care of animals since 2018, in addition to having had dogs and cats all of her life. 

    Outside of work, she takes an avid interest in fostering kittens, walking her dogs to Starbucks, and dying her hair fun colours! Included in Laura’s impressive animal pack at home are a cat, 2 dogs, a frog, a snake, a gecko, and a hamster. Embodying a true animal lover!

    'My favourite thing about working with animals is being able to advocate for the voiceless and giving them love. I also enjoy helping owners reach a breakthrough or ‘aha’ moment with their pet.'

    Veterinary Technician

    Sardeep graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician program. She has had a lot of large animal experience. Growing up she cared for horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs, due to her family previously owning farm animals. She has also had lots of practical experience in small animal veterinary medicine as a volunteer and during co-op placements. 

    Sardeep has many pets, a 3-year-old Husky-Shepherd mix named Luna, that she rescued, two budgies, 18 chickens, and a Crested Gecko! In her free time, she likes hiking, fishing, camping, going to the drive-in, and long road trips.

    Team Lead Senior Client Relations Specialist

    Asher has over 17 years in the hospitality industry, bringing diverse expertise and knowledge to his senior role at Richview Animal Hospital. During his time at school, he studied music (Classical Voice) at York University, contributing to his love for the musical arts. He loves to be around animals of all kinds and is the proud owner of an adorable 8-year-old cat named Ninja, who has the cutest black spot on his nose. 

    In his free time, he likes to watch his favourite sports teams, Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and is constantly trying to improve his fried chicken recipe, which he believes is the best. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, step-son, and his new baby girl!

    Senior Client Relations Specialist

    Megan-Marie completed 2 years in the Life Sciences program at the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in customer service and hospitality as she currently works as a flight attendant when she is not at Richview Animal Hospital. 

    Due to the nature of being a flight attendant, she is unable to have pets of her own, but she considers herself the “Cool Doggy Aunt” who is always willing to give free snuggles. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, art, and is working on getting her private pilot license!

    Veterinary Assistant

    Abi has years of experience working in the customer service industry and has been part of the veterinary medicine industry for the past 4 years. When she is not at work assisting the technicians and doctors care for our client’s pets during appointments and surgeries, she volunteers at a Kitten Rescue. Her passion for animal welfare and her drive to expand her knowledge is part of what makes her such a versatile and successful member of our team. 

    Abi owns many animals: she has 2 dogs, named Violet and Rey, 3 cats named Albus, Turtle, and Oatmeal, a Chinchilla named Churro, and an Axolotl named Mudkip. In her free time, she likes to foster kittens, play video games and work up a sweat at the gym.

    Bella studied at the University of British Columbia for her undergraduate degree, earning her a Bachelor of Psychology. She also spent a year abroad in the Netherlands, majoring in ‘Gender Diversity Studies.’ Despite her experience in human health care, she has always been drawn to working with animals in some capacity since she grew up caring for her family’s Jack Russell Terrier, Montana, who lived to be 19! She also has an interest in media which she has incorporated into her role at Richview, heading the Social Media pages. 

    Currently, she owns a feisty orange cat named Finn and a 3-year-old Golden Lab named Kiva, who she rescued at a year old. In her free time, she loves to teach Kiva tricks (her favourite is getting Kiva to “whisper”), SUP boarding, hiking, biking and rollerblading, all of which she likes to do with her dog by her side.

    Jill graduated from a Medical Laboratory Technician program and has years of experience working in the human medical industry. When she was in secondary school, she participated in co-op with several businesses in the animal industry, such as grooming and other veterinary offices. After her experience working in both human and animal medicine, she found that she preferred working in the animal care industry.  

    At home, she has 2 cats named Cami, who is a Calico that she describes as “spicy,” and Khalee who is a lovely Highland Lynx. She also has a new Jack Russel puppy named Penny that constantly keeps her on her toes! In her free time, she likes to cook and try new foods, do activities at the cottage, relax by the fire, and, most of all, spend time with her niece and nephew.

    Mike graduated from the Conestoga College Culinary Management program in Waterloo. He has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry that he brings to his role at Richview Animal Hospital. Not only does he provide clients with a friendly face the moment they walk through the door, but he also assists medical staff in caring for their pets during their appointments. His experience allows him to provide clients with exceptional care and service whenever they are in need. 

    At home, Mike has a freshwater tank with many tropical fish. In his free time, he enjoys playing video and board games, as well as cooking and baking!
