Graduating from LSU in 2001, he established Mayer Veterinary Hospital in 2004. We focus primarily on companion animal medicine, although we’ve seen our share of chickens, ducks, pigmy goats, and the occasional pocket pet.

We are a full-service animal hospital and are able to provide medical, surgical, and dental care, as well as emergency treatments. Our diagnostic tools include radiograph, blood analyzer, and ultrasound. Mayer Veterinary Hospital offers many services including annual exams, vaccinations, spays and neuters, dentals, and microchipping. Dr. Mayer performs orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries in his dedicated surgery room. Our patients have the option to board with us and receive bathing and limited grooming upon request.

Mayer Veterinary Hospital was established in September of 2004, by Dr. Bill Mayer, a native and of Baton Rouge and graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
