Dr. Chhina is a bay area native – where she grew up in San Jose. She is the leading veterinarian and one of our clinic owners. From a very young age she knew veterinary medicine was her calling; a sentiment that keeps growing each day, as she realizes the reward of working with animals. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the beautiful Caribbean and completed her clinical rotations at Purdue University. Following the completion of her degree, she began practicing at busy hospitals for some time, bringing her to a realization for the need of a more personable family practice. As a result, Dr.Chhina decided to venture out and open her own clinic. She has tremendous dedication towards her patients and clients, as well as working each case with the utmost compassion. She is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), CVMA (California Veterinary Medical Association), AAHA(American Animal Hospital Association), and VECCS (Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society).

Marissa joined our team in early 2021. Although she didn’t grow up with pets, but when she got her first dog back in 2017 her passion for animals grew from there. When not at the clinic Marissa mainly spends time with family and friends.

She is looking to start school back up in the fall of 2021 at DVC, continuing her education
