Description: Best Friends Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is an AAHA accredited & Fear Free principled practice in the St. Louis metro area. Privately owned, we currently have 3 full time doctors but we are rapidly growing. We’re looking for a full or part-time associate veterinarian to join our wonderful team. We are fortunate to have clients that allow us to work up most of our patients quite thoroughly, but we are also blessed with a local specialty center that we can also refer to. Many of our nurses are certified and we encourage continuing education for our entire team. Because we value work life balance we have modest hours, do not see after hours emergencies, and are open only a ½ day on Saturday. We are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while offering excellent patient care and maintaining a positive working environment.

Salary will be production based with a guaranteed base commensurate with experience. which also offers boarding. We are currently seeking to fill a part-time
veterinary nurse position. The position requires licensing and/or
experience. Applicants must have the ability to offer excellent customer
service and to get along well with co-workers. In addition, the position
will require the person to feel comfortable answering questions regarding
pet behavior and medical concerns, and to make recommendations for patient
care in accordance with the philosophies held by the doctors at Best
Friends.
Responsibilities include maintaining a professional, pleasant attitude and
appearance, assisting in exam rooms, collecting & recording
information/history, client education, surgical prep, anesthesia
monitoring, collecting & submitting lab samples, performing diagnostic
tests, taking xrays, preparing & administering vaccines, filling
prescriptions, performing therapeutic laser treatments, cleaning exam rooms
and treatment/surgical areas. Proper animal restraint is required which may
involve lifting animals weighing more than 50 pounds. A willingness to
learn and the ability to follow instructions are required, as well as the
ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Flexibility with scheduling is
