Pet Exams for Healthy & Sick Pets
Our comprehensive exams should be performed yearly to give you a report on your pet's health statistics and check for obvious issues like dermatology problems or dental pain. If your pet is elderly these visits will increase to two times annually. During these appointments, we will make sure your pets are up to date on their vaccines, perform any health screens they need to detect disease, and test for and administer any needed parasite control.
Pet Surgery and Pet Dental Services
We are capable of performing your pet's surgery in our state-of-the-art facility. Remember we are voluntarily accredited by AAHA so you can rest assured that your pet is receiving the best in care. All pets are monitored by a dedicated anesthesia nurse throughout the procedure. After anesthesia, your pet will recover in our intensive care unit for comfort and high care. Your pet should receive dental cleanings much like a human to prevent dental disease and pain. X Rays & Laboratory Services
We now offer digital x rays for our patients. Most of the time these can be performed on awake pets, but there are a few cases where sedation or anesthesia is needed. We also offer laboratory services in house for quick and reliable results to help diagnose or monitor your pet’s health.
Vet Laser Therapy
We offer laser therapy with a class 4 lasers to treat chronic pain and other conditions. This non-invasive and painless therapy is typically enjoyable for pets, and they heal faster from painful and inflammatory conditions.
Acupuncture and Chiropractor Care
We offer pet acupuncture and pet chiropractic care if you are interested in this proven alternative form of medicine to help your pet heal. Dr. Heidi Hemmett, owner of Healthy Balance, can treat your pet with either or both of these modalities.
Pharmacy
For the most efficient treatment of our patients, we offer an in-house pharmacy with many medications. Because there are so many products available, however, we also offer an online pharmacy which carries not only all of the main heartworm and flea medications, but also carries prescription and non prescription foods.
