Kennel Assistant

We are currently looking for an EXPERIENCED kennel assistant for a part-time position. This part-time position would include shifts that would fall on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as holidays when we are closed.

Job Description Includes, but not limited to: Feeding, walking, and cleaning up patients as needed in our care; both K9 and Feline. Administering medications as indicated by owners and veterinarian. Cleaning up after animals both inside the facility and outside, as well as clean animal runs and cages as needed. Maintain the kennel areas as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, and laundry.

Skills and Abilities: Effectively communicate in the English language both in writing and orally. Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Maintain confidence around pets.

Experience, Education, and/or Training: Some high school education, previous kennel experience is preferred

Part Time Saturday Receptionist

We are currently looking for an EXPERIENCED Veterinary Receptionist for a part-time position. This part-time position for Saturdays as well as help to cover shifts for other staff members when they are unavailable. Opportunities for working kennel shifts as well.

Job Description Includes: answering phones, making appointments, checking clients in and out, filing, faxing, and helping to keep the lobby area presentable. Applicant must possess great communication skills and a MINIMUM of ONE YEAR of experience in a veterinary office, knowledge of Cornerstone is preferred.
