Quirky K-9s: Foundation Class for Reactive Dogs
Every dog should be able to walk into the world with confidence and curiosity. Unfortunately, sometimes past experiences and even genetics can cause a dog to feel fearful, frustrated or confused about things they encounter day to day.
Our 6-week-long Quirky K-9s class is built to instill confidence in both dog and owner when encountering things that cause their dogs anxiety or frustration. This class will leave owners with the tools and skills to work their dog through dog and human-directed reactivity.
Class: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks. Space is limited to 4 dogs per class, so call to reserve your spot.
Cost: $325 per dog (includes training harness or head collar, hands free leash, treat bag and clicker)

Quirky K-9s: The Real World
This 4-week course is for all dogs who have previously completed our Foundation QK9s course and who are looking to use their skills in new environments and with new triggers. In this class, we'll practice all of our known skills and continue to gradually get our dogs comfortable with the things that would normally cause them to become reactive.
Class: 1 hour per week for 4 weeks.

Quirky K-9s Refresher
Our Quirky K-9 Refresher class is for any dog who has already graduated from our original Quirky K9s class. Class is 3 weeks long.
Class: 1 hour per week for 3 weeks. Space is limited, so call to reserve your spot.
Cost: $155 per dog
Prerequisite: Completion of our Quirky K-9s class.

Quirky K-9s Agility Class
Reactive Dog Agility Class
We all want that companion who can go anywhere and do anything with us. Owning a dog that is uncomfortable around other people and dogs can make that hard to do. Our goal for this class is to give dogs and owners something fun to do with their normally reactive dog. This 4-week agility course will cover all the same equipment that is normally covered in our beginner's agility course, but will have fewer dogs that we will rotate in and out of the agility yard.
Class: Class is 1 hour per week for 4 weeks.

Grooming and Vet Prep Course
One of our biggest concerns and problems that we run into is dogs that show fear and anxiety when at the vet and during their grooming process. Sometimes this fear can be so severe that we are unable to properly care for the dog without taking drastic measures. We know that the best way to avoid anxiety and fear in these situations is prevention. This class gives dogs and owners the tools to create happy and confident dogs both at the vet and at the groomer.
Topics include:
* Understanding canine body language
* Introduction to clicker training
* How to prevent fear and anxiety
* Desensitization and counter-conditioning to things related to the vet/groomer
* Consent cues
Class: Class is 1 hour per week for 4 weeks

Drop-Off Behavior Modification
This option is for reactive dogs that can appropriately handle a busy kennel environment or who are planning to board with us for an extended stay. Drop your dog off with us for the day, or for the week, and we’ll work on things like: Reactivity towards other dogs or people, resource guarding, and anything else you and the trainer decide upon together. Your dog will spend the entire day with us receiving 3-4 individualized training sessions with our certified trainers.

Drop-Off Socialization for Fearful Dogs
This option is designed for dogs of all ages that suffer from fear and anxiety when socializing with new people, places, objects, and situations. Our certified trainer will spend the entire day gradually getting your dog comfortable with whatever it is that causes him discomfort and at the end of the day will meet with owners privately to give them a personalized plan on how to work on things at home.

Drop-Off Husbandry Training for Fearful Dogs
Coming to the vet can be an incredibly stressful thing for most dogs. For some dogs just walking into the building can cause an onset of fear and apprehension, not to mention the stress that’s caused once the veterinarian starts to poke and prod in places that aren’t comfortable for the dog. Behavior modification is a wonderful way to teach your dog that not only do visits to the hospital and groomers not have to be so scary, it can actually be a lot of fun!
We use purely positive training techniques that gradually and comfortably get your dog used to the things that would normally cause signs of fear and possibly even aggression.
This program includes an entire day of training as well as a half hour of privatized time with our certified trainer to go over what needs to be worked on at home.

In-Home Training
For one-on-one individualized time with a trainer working on issues happening in the home. You and the trainer will develop a clear and individually customized training plan for you and your dog. We’ll start with a first-time visit consultation and determine where to go from there. Things that could be covered in-home include (but are not limited to): Reactivity towards people or dogs in the neighborhood or in the home, resource guarding, manners at the door, and many other issues.
Walk N' Play
For dogs that can’t use our facility, our qualified trainer will come to your home to give your dog the care that they need while you’re away at work. Enjoy your day knowing that your dog is being well taken care of while you’re away!
