Dr. Jerry D. Gregory was in business in the Tampa Bay area from 1977-2020. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree as well as his Master of Science in Biology from Austin Peay State University. He worked in research at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee before entering Auburn University. He graduated from Auburn in 1976 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After a short time in Laurel, Mississippi he moved his wife, Janice, and their family to the Tampa Bay area in 1977. Dr. Gregory worked at the Tampa Greyhound Track during the racing season for a few years giving him the opportunity to hone his skills in orthopedic surgery.
In 1985, he opened Gregory Veterinary Clinic in the Carrollwood area. Dr. Jerry Gregory then passed the clinic down to his son Dr. Ryan Gregory. They worked together for several years until Jerry’s retirement in 2020. Dr. Gregory is now enjoying retirement with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He now has more time to enjoy his passion of outdoor life, especially anything that has fishing, hiking, and camping in it.
Dr. Ryan Gregory continues to practice, expand, and run the hospital with the same philosophy his father established the clinic on. Dr. Ryan keeps everything up to date as new studies, medications, and treatments come out to ensure our pets are getting the best care possible.
