At any given time, Michigan Road Animal Hospital @ Crooked Creek employs about 15-20 staff members including our three Veterinarians. Our group of animal lovers have one mission: to meet and exceed your pet’s needs, in a comfortable and friendly environment.
The entire hospital staff meets regularly for staff development and educational meetings, and we also meet as teams. These meetings help keep us on top of any changes in veterinary medicine, provide us with team-building opportunities, and offer us the time to discuss how to serve you better.
The Client Service Team
An integral part of the functioning of MRAH @ Crooked Creek, these are the people you talk to when you call us, or stop by. The CSA’s are chiefly responsible for the hospital appointment schedule, checking patients in and out, and client education.
They work very closely with all of the different teams at MRAH, as well as with you–our clients. They want you to have a great experience with MRAH–and want to exceed your expectations. They are knowledgeable in many different areas of pet care including: vaccinations, heartworm/flea/tick preventatives, medications, behavior counseling, and more. Feel free to ask them just about anything!
The Technician Team
If your pet has been admitted to the hospital for surgery or hospitalization, the technicians are who you speak with just before you drop off your pet and usually just before you pick up as well. They are often the individuals phoning you regarding your pet’s status in the hospital, too.
MRAH @ Crooked Creek's trained technicians provide the medical care that your pet needs, assisting the doctors in almost every way. This includes: drawing blood, giving injections and other medications, filling prescriptions, performing dental cleanings, prepping and monitoring surgical patients, setting IV catheters, etc. They are in charge of all of the patients who are checked into the hospital at any given time.
The technicians work very closely with the doctors and your pet, and are available to answer any questions you have about your pets medical care.
The Veterinary Assistant Team
The backbone of Michigan Road Animal Hospital @ Crooked Creek, our veterinary assistants are our animal caretakers & caregivers.
They work side-by-side with our doctors during office calls, assist the nurses in every aspect of your pet’s care during treatments and surgery, and provide loving care to all of our boarding animals. They work very hard to maintain a clean environment in and around the hospital as well.
You can bet if you’ve been to our hospital that our veterinary assistants know your pet!
Our Pet Stylist
Without Carol your pooch would be awfully furry! She is our fabulous pet stylist at MRAH Crooked Creek. She is a certified professional groomer and would be glad to help your dog look and feel his/her best. Whether you would like her to groom your pet from a photo, a standard breed cut, or a showcut–Carol really knows her stuff. She is always available to chat with you at the time you drop your pet off, and tries to stay until your pet goes home. She will make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for, offered water, and also potty breaks outside of course!
Grooming typically consists of a bath, haircut, (& we can dye your pet too in some cases!), nail trim, and any bows and/or bandanas you might desire for your pet. Don’t hesitate to contact us today if you would like to schedule a spa day with Carol for your dog @ 317-291-3932.
