It's always best to practice preventative care when it comes to the teeth of your pet, just like you do with your own teeth.
Treatment: Just what is involved in a dental cleaning? A dental cleaning involves many steps from the thorough examination to polishing your pet's teeth. First, we thoroughly examine your pet, identifying the dental problems as well as any other health concerns. We perform blood work to analyze the function of your pet's liver, kidneys and blood cells, important information to know before any drugs are given. We use the safest anesthetics possible to reduce risk to your pet while under anesthesia.
We then ultrasonically scale away plaque and tartar, x-ray your pet's teeth and jaw to identify deeper concerns, perform oral surgery to extract teeth or remove oral tumors, thoroughly polish the tooth surfaces, apply dental sealants to reduce further plaque and tartar formation, and create an oral health plan for your pet. We provide TLC to your pet while recovering from anesthesia and send him home by the end of the day.
