About Us

assortments of pets

At Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center, every patient matters, and so does the quality of the veterinary care they receive. We’re a family-owned veterinary clinic, and your pets are part of our family too, so we provide our services with plenty of love and attention to detail.

Need a veterinarian in Troutdale or Gresham? Our team has been serving your community since 1994, and we’re ready to meet your pet too. But first, learn a little more about our animal hospital and the services we offer.

Our Veterinary Philosophy

When you bring your pet to Paws & Claws, you can count on our team to take their health and happiness very seriously. Our Troutdale veterinarian, Dr. DeRemer, keeps his patients on track with regular preventative care and thorough diagnostic care. He knows how important it is to give thorough exams and test samples quickly and accurately so that we can move onto treatment. Our in-house radiology and laboratory departments make it possible to expedite these tests, and our team provides thorough care every step of the way.

In fact, our team is so committed to the health of every pet that we offer free wellness exams through the Multnomah County Animal Clinic. We don’t think any animal should suffer from preventable illnesses, injuries, or parasites, so we do our part to improve the welfare of pets throughout Troutdale and Greshman.

Our Veterinary Services

Is your pet behind on their checkups or showing strange symptoms? Our full-service animal hospital is ready to handle all your preventative, diagnostic, and treatment needs. We treat dogs and cats as well as exotic pets like rabbits, birds, gerbils, hamsters, and reptiles.

Here are some of the veterinary services we offer for these pets:

Wellness Exams

Regular veterinary exams are crucial to your pet’s health because they make it possible to detect changes early and start treatment if necessary. We also use wellness exams to make sure pets stay on their vaccine schedules and the right diet and exercise regimen.

Pet Dental Care

Dental health is just as important for our pets as it is for us. We provide annual dental cleanings and screenings, which allow us to rule out serious problems like gum disease before they get worse. We’ll also help you learn how to maintain your pet’s oral health at home.

Emergency Veterinary Care

Is your pet suffering from an emergency illness or injury? Our animal hospital accepts walk-in emergencies when possible, and we also offer treatments such as prescription medication and surgery to help your pets heal.
