What Does Pet Radiology in Gresham and Troutdale Entail?

If our veterinary team in Gresham and Troutdale cannot figure out what ailing an animal from a traditional exam or bloodwork alone, then diagnostic radiology may be necessary to get to the bottom of the problem. Radiology often includes a digital X-ray, which can be used to diagnosed broken and fractured bones. However, X-rays can also be used as part of preparation for surgery or even to evaluate dental problems in pets.

Here at Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center, we're proud to offer state-of-the-art radiology services in our office. Our digital radiology system provides our veterinary team with the most accurate and easy-to-read results, which helps to ensure that your pet receives the best possible treatment.

How Long for Results?

Because our X-rays are digital, we're able to view them right away. In most cases, a diagnosis can be made on-the-spot based on X-rays alone (especially if a broken bone or fracture is being confirmed). In some cases, however, additional diagnostic testing may be needed. When this occurs, and when we need to send tests out to our affiliate lab, results can take a couple of days to come in. However, we can often expedite these results in the event of an emergency.
