Dr Jeff Jones PMC

I decided to become a veterinarian because I love animals. I can't imagine life without them. Along with my wife Deborah and our children, Jenny and Chris, I attended Texas A&M University.  I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. We went to Dalhart (the coldest place in Texas) and I worked for my uncle in a mixed animal practice and later owned and operated that clinic until we ALL moved to Central Texas in January of 1996. I have been in small animal only practice since. I purchased Harker Heights Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Aycock in 1998 and in May 2001 merged with Country Trails Animal Hospital to form Pet Medical Center. I love what I do! We get to do everything here from keeping pets healthy with preventive medicine, to rebuilding broken bones, to treating critical medical cases and even chemotherapy for cancer. It is the most challenging and rewarding job I can imagine. It's actually too much fun to call it work!

I have always had a passion for animals and a strong interest in medicine – thus veterinary medicine was destined to be my career. Being part of a military family, I grew up in many areas in the United States. I received my bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine; but I will always be an Alabama football fan. My husband Carlos and I have two dogs: Aiden and Sydney. We are so thrilled to call Texas home and to be a part of Pet Medical Center. I could not think of a more rewarding and fulfilling career!

I am a 2000 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation I spent 3 years in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. My husband Daren is a retired Blackhawk helicopter pilot who now teaches elementary school physical education and we have two boys, two dogs (Natasha Romanov and Raven Mystique) and two cats (Bruce Wayne and Marvel).  I first worked at Pet Medical Center from 2005 to 2009. A few short moves later and we are thrilled to have returned to the Ft. Hood area, and especially to our family at Pet Medical Center. I love working with the staff and our wonderful clients to provide the best care we can for our patients.

I am a graduate of the Parker University Animal Chiropractic Program, and am certified in Animal Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine and am Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.  I also have an interest in Chinese Herbal Medication.  I enjoy the ability to use Traditional Chinese Medicinechiropractic care, acupuncture, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) and Kinesiology Taping as alternative modalities in caring for my patients!

I have been a part of the veterinary field since 2008 and have worked in general practice, emergency, and shelter medicine. I have spent time in most positions within a veterinary clinic (except veterinarian of course!) from the front desk to the kennel and my favorite; being a technician! I have degrees in Business and Public Health and I am a Veterinary Technology student; I love learning!  I am passionate about client education, particularly in the areas of senior pet care, and responsible breeding practices. I love working at Pet Medical Center where our goal is to provide the best possible care for our patients, your beloved pets.  I am also a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer through the University of Tennessee,  AKC CGC Evaluator and Certified Fit Dog Instructor. My husband and I live with one crazy boxer who takes up most of my free time, and we regularly compete in multiple dog sports. When we aren’t dock diving or doing dog things, we enjoy taking road trips and visiting National Parks.

After meeting my wonderful husband in 2003, we moved to Texas in 2011. It was my first time here and I fell in love with everything. I started working in retail and then joined Pet Medical Center in July 2014. I am so happy to be working here because it is the perfect mix of working with people and pets. I grew up with animals and could not imagine my life without them. I'm the proud mom of three babies: Leo, our pure mix breed; Bella, our Black Lab/Weimaraner mix; and Savvy, our Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix.

I moved back to Texas after living in five other (much smaller) states! I began working in the animal field during college as an adoption counselor at the city’s animal control facility. About a year later, I transitioned into the field of veterinary medicine and have remained here ever since! I was born into a family of big dogs (…oh yeah, and some humans, too!) and animals have remained a very important part of my life. I love animal rescue and, because of this, I have a large furry family of dogs and cats! (I especially love senior pets, black cats, pets with missing limbs or eyes, and pit bulls!)

In 2015 I moved from Germany to America. After a few years in Virginia my husband, Nala & Renegade (the dogs), Dixie (the cat) and I moved to Texas in 2018. Animals have always played a big role in my life and I’m so glad that I get to work at PMC. I love taking care of the animals and gaining more knowledge. Roll tide!

This is simply the best job, although I cannot honestly call it a job. I get to work with really nice people.  Every day is different - from the tiny hedgehog to the large Mastiff, we never know what will come in.  The best part is taking care of our clients and the pets that are part of their family.  I have been working at Pet Medical Center since April 2002. I live in Harker Heights with my pets: Mimi, Ted, Radar, Skippy, and Mama Cat.

I started working at Pet Medical Center in February 2007. I started as a kennel tech then trained until I was made a veterinary technician. For as long as I can remember, I have loved being around animals and learning about them. Caring for pets and making them feel secure gives me great joy. I am proud knowing that they will be well taken care of from the great doctors that I have the privilege to work with. I have two beautiful daughters, Chloe and Hazel. I also live with some of the greatest cats you'll ever meet: Tigger, Angel and Tears. I also have three awesome dogs; Lulu and Sarge; and two sweet bunnies. I love spending time with my family, friends and our furry babies.

I have been a technician at Pet Medical Center since July of 2006. I have over 15 years experience working with animals. I enjoy working with everyone at PMC and of course animals more than anything else! I moved to Texas in June of 2006. I have many pets which are all my babies; my dogs Ryker, Yoshi, and Cinnamon;  my cats Molokai, Monster, Mazikeen, and Phoenix; and a bunch of rabbits. I enjoy spending time with friends and taking my dogs for walks in the woods and at the lake. I also enjoy spending lots of time with my family, photography, crafts, and going for trips.

I am happily married and have three beautiful daughters; four dogs, Buckly, Mustache, Annie and Andy; 4 cats, Tex, and 3 sphynx cats, Pickles, Bleu, and  Kenna. I also have a few reptiles. In my off time my family and I enjoy raising the most random mix of livestock on our tiny little ranch in Lampasas. My favorite farm animals are my big birds, like my emu and turkey. My house is like a petting zoo. I joined this fabulous staff in July 2015 after completing my Veterinary Assistant program in 2013. I love everything about the veterinary field and my job but I especially enjoy animal dentistry. I enjoy learning and seeing the many happy pets and clients that come in to see us. I am proud to be Fear Free Certified and am looking forward to working with my PMC family for many years to come. I feel incredibly blessed!

I was born and raised on a farm in Texas, where I acquired my strong compassion for all animals (big and small) and their health. In 2016 I began work with animal rescues which has given me a strong desire to further my knowledge and become a certified technician one day. I am currently a college student, as well as mom, wife, farmer, and dog mom.

I grew up right here in Harker Heights on my parents ranch, where I was always around my animals, including my dogs Rocky, Jenny, and Max, and my horse ChaCha. I have always had a passion for biology and taking care of critters, and I love meeting new pets every day! I am currently attending Texas A&M University, majoring in Biology and minoring in animal science.

I’ve always enjoyed being with and working with animals, from growing up with dogs and cats to working on my family’s small farm here in Texas as a teenager. After marrying my wonderful husband Tim in 2019, we moved to the Fort Hood area through the Army, where we live with our daughter Charlotte, and two dogs, Jocko and Lena! Working here at Pet Medical Center has been a great joy for me and has given me the opportunity to further my experience and education of animals.
