One service pet owners do not often think about for their animals is laser therapy.

.

What Is Laser Therapy?

Laser (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) therapy is a safe, innovative, non-invasive treatment option that uses special light beams to penetrate and stimulate cell production in injured tissues. During this treatment, our veterinarians move a handheld laser across the animal's injured area, which creates a warm, pleasant sensation for most pets.

Our veterinarians will wear protective glasses during the procedure and place a pair of goggles on your pet to prevent eye damage from the powerful laser. The time of each appointment varies, depending on the laser's specific power density. These power settings can range from Class I to Class IV (Class I being the lowest and Class IV being the highest). Our veterinarians will understand the appropriate length and frequency of laser application depending on your pet's specific condition. We often see improvements as soon as the initial laser procedure.
