Welcome to Tsolum Mobile Veterinary Health. We are a mixed animal practice in the heart of Merville located in the small building right next to the Merville General Store. Though our office is small, we have big hearts for our clientele and their pets in our local and remote communities of Vancouver Island. From our farmers to our small pet owners – the staff at Tsolum are dedicated to providing quality medical care for your animals.
Initially started by Dr. Patrick O’Brien as an ambulatory large animal practice in 1998, Tsolum Mobile Veterinary Health was purchase by Dr. Peter Parke in 2003. After many years of operating solely as a large animal practice, we listened to the needs of our growing community and, in 2013, added small animal veterinary care to our service offerings.
The team at Tsolum Mobile Veterinary Health provides full-service veterinary care to all animals – large and small – in the Comox Valley, Campbell River and surrounding communities.
Our talented, dedicated, and kind staff work hard to provide comprehensive and compassionate veterinary. We offer quality medicine and surgery in a quiet, relaxed environment, where both the patient and owner can enjoy their visit. Whether working in the clinic or heading out into the field, we work together like a family, and take great pride in helping all creatures, large or small.
Our Place or Yours?
Though our veterinary clinic may be is small, we have big hearts for our clientele and their companion animals. We welcome dogs, cats, some small caged animals, and some baby farm animals at the clinic. We are located behind the Merville General Store, 6635-B Old Island Highway North, Courtenay.
Our farm call services focus mainly on large-scale dairy and hog operations, but we also work with beef cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and more exotic large animals, such as llamas and bison.
Mobile livestock services are provided wherever you are, within the geographic region of the mid- to the North Island, starting at the Errington/Parksville/Qualicum area, up to the Comox Valley and Campbell River, and west to Port Alberni.
