Emergency Care

Emergencies are unexpected, but don’t let yourself be caught unprepared.

Nobody expects an emergency situation. Certain precautions can help you be prepared should one ever happen to your pet. In case of a minor emergency, it is always a good idea to have a first aid kit available at home or with you while you are traveling with your pet. You can buy these from places such as St. John Ambulance, or you can buy products individually and make one yourself. You never know when you might need tweezers or a bandage! The CVMA has an online guide for creating a first aid kit.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 778-428-6401 or [email protected]. For more information, you can also visit the AVMA’s section on Emergency Care and the CVMA’s page on Wound First Aid.
