    Shana Buchanan
    Veterinarian, Owner

    Growing up with her loving dachshund Fritz by her side, Dr. Buchanan decided she wanted to be a veterinarian at a young age and never looked back. She excelled in science and math during high school and worked hard throughout her collegiate career, and now she’s both a licensed Veterinarian and the Owner of Bridgeway Animal Clinic, Lakeway Animal Medical & Surgical Clinic, and Western Hills Animal Medical & Surgical Clinic! She practices at all three clinics.

    Christine Stephenson
    Associate Veterinarian

    Christine Stephenson took an unconventional path to her veterinary medicine degree. Graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University, Christine enjoyed her challenging curriculum. She planned to become a researcher or enroll in medical school but changed her mind after shadowing or working for many medical doctors. Instead, Christine decided to enter the veterinary medicine field.

    Veterinary Technician

    Tallecia used to work in a feed store and realized she was selling deworming and medical products for illnesses she didn’t fully understand herself. She ended up studying veterinary technology to have her questions answered! Now Tallecia cares for pets every day as a Veterinary Technician.

  • Maria Fuentes
    Veterinary Assistant

    Maria was born and raised in Snow Hill, North Carolina. Her father worked at a hog farm and started taking her with him when she was four years old. It was this event that helped eventually bring her into the veterinary industry. “Growing around chickens, goats, horses, dogs, cats, and ducks made me more curious about how animals lived and saw a veterinarian come and visit every once in a while made me start thinking about that as a career.” When she was eight, she helped a mama goat give birth and even had to assist with positioning the baby for an easier birth! “That was the day I decided to go into the veterinary field.”

    Kennel Tech Assistant

    Meet our kennel tech assistant, Hannah! She is originally from Cleveland, TX and found her way to the Conroe area! She has always had an interest in animals and even played doctor with her childhood dog, Lily.

    She first took a veterinary medical app. her junior year of high school and she’s now enjoying the veterinary field and the TVMA program!
