Diagnostics

When your fur baby becomes ill or suffers an injury, he or she cannot speak to tell you what’s wrong or where it hurts. That’s why veterinary diagnostics are so important in helping us care for our animal companions. These tools allow our doctors to get a glimpse below the surface to learn exactly what’s happening inside your fur baby’s body so that a fast and accurate diagnosis can be reached. The sooner we can get to the bottom of what’s bothering your companion, the sooner we can treat the problem and get your four-legged best friend back on the road to good health again.

Bridgeway Animal Clinic employs the use of a wide variety of diagnostic tests to help manage the ongoing health of our patients. We start with a thorough physical exam, including a look at your fur baby’s eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin. We’ll then turn to technology to further assess your companion’s health. This includes examining the cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities or inconsistencies. We’ll also check your fur baby’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system, including the thyroid and adrenal glands to identify any potential problems.

Medical assessments at Bridgeway Animal Clinic are conducted through laboratory tests, imaging and a number of other diagnostic methods, including:

  • Blood Work
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Testing
  • Radiology (X-Ray)
  • Cardiology
  • Tonometry
  • Ultrasonography
  • Endocrinology (Hormones)

Rest assured that whatever may be ailing your animal companion, we have all of the tools and experience necessary to get to the bottom of the problem once and for all so we can return your fur baby to his or her healthy, happy lifestyle as soon as possible.
