In addition to our medical care services at Ames Pet Hospital, we are also proud to offer pet boarding for your animals. While they are with us, we will give your pets the same loving care they receive when they come in for regular checkups or medical assistance. Each of our staff members loves animals and is happy to provide them with the compassionate care they need while you are away.
If you are looking for boarding options, consider that one of the key advantages to boarding your pet at our veterinary hospital is that your pet is already familiar with our setting and the staff is already familiar with your pet. Pet boarding facilities can be stressful for pets but going somewhere that the pet is already familiar with will greatly reduce that potential stress. Boarding your pet at Ames Pet Hospital not only means that your pet is going to get the very best in care, but that if a medical emergency does arise, your pet is in the very best of hands. If your pet is already a patient at our clinic we will have the pet's full medical history at our fingertips and will be able to provide immediate care. If the pet requires an examination, vaccinations, or grooming while they are staying with us then either the veterinarian or our staff would be happy to provide those services.
Ames Pet Hospital is Fully Equipped to Handle Dog and Cat Boarding
Dog Boarding
We make sure that the dogs have an indoor kennel or run that is suited to their size; we can accommodate both large and small dogs. Dogs are walked outside on a leash in our fenced-in area four times daily. They will receive a bath at no charge if boarding 3 or more days. TLC is available, for an additional fee, where they will receive 15 minutes per day of extra playtime.
Cat Boarding
Cats are kept in a separate, quiet room that has a window to the outside. Cats stay in kitty condos which are luxury suites that have a porthole available to open into additional rooms for more space or to board with a housemate. Cats can receive TLC for an additional fee, as well.
We Will Take Care of Your Pets Like They Are Our Own
Our pet boarding facility is overseen by a dedicated staff that makes sure that your pet's stay is as comfortable as possible. Their stay with us will be more like a holiday rather than just being put in a boarding facility.
