Meet our Vet

Dr. Segarra is the owner and founder of The Village Animal Hospital. She grew up in Puerto Rico, where she developed a love for animals at a very early age. She left Puerto Rico to complete her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and then moved to Alabama where she earned her DVM degree from Tuskegee University in 2003. In 2003 she moved to Alpharetta and practiced in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area for almost 9 years prior to opening The Village Animal Hospital in 2012. Dr. Segarra is fully bilingual (English/Spanish). She lives in Alpharetta with her husband, two daughters, two cats (Bebe and Lugo) and her dog Spotty. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing tennis and playing the piano.
